So that would relegate the Guardian Angels and Super Guardians to the end zone? That makes about as much business sense as
giving Paul Lusk another contract extension at the end of this year.

Step 2: Innovation Campus and Shocker Hall II - Coming in the next year or two

        Step 3: Shocker Hall III

What that other university has is much, much larger captive audience of traditional students living on campus.

Moving the students out of the end zone just isn't happening at Koch Arena. We simply could not absorb the revenue hit.

To play Devils advocate, Duke gives students the best seats and things have worked out just fine.

EDIT: You'll see this later, but I'm not propsing doing this. Just staring it has worked for them.

This is going to be an argument you lose badly if pursued to its natural end. I'd hang it up here, FWIW.

It's even simpler than this. First come, first serve, student ID gets you in. No guest tickets. If this doesn't work, then reduce the student seats.
You miss 100% of the shots you don't take....

.....but, statistically speaking, you miss 99% of the shots you do take.

How about, instead of complaining about thes issue, why not propose some solutions?

We all know the issue. Now, how do we amend it?

I'm not proposing moving the $$$; not at all.

Just pointing out that it has worked for at least one big program.

Punish people who don't use tickets. After about 3 games next year the student attendance problem will be solved.

As for the student section sucking as a whole, that isn't going to be fixed until a few students step up and decide to do something....and it's looking like that is never going to happen so I will just accept our boring student section.

I'll admit, I'm a student. Been to every game of my 4 years. The reason students don't show up is the level of competition. I don't know what is so offsetting for some people, maybe it's because they weren't around when we're awful, or our generation is too caught up in technology and social media.

The pickup method needs changed. I don't know what the perfect method is, but it needs changed. A lot of students just pick-up all the tickets with intentions of going to one game.

I can guarantee it would be loud on Saturday. '13 Creighton loud. '11 Texas Tech loud. Florida State loud. Hell....Iowa loud.

Duke does it. Why can't we? WSU games are about the students and for the students, not old SASO contributors. I'm just offering up solutions. I think it'd work.

Maybe not mid court, but behind the opposing bench? Why not?

Numbers or not, the quality of the student section is my main gripe. Just weak, quiet, uninventive, uncreative, boring, lame. That's our student section in a nutshell. No yelling. No booing. No signage. No chants. No charisma. No fight.

And they have a Top 11 basketball team they get to watch every night.

I would be embarrassed to call myself a student at a Wichita State basketball game.

Apparently, the word doesn't travel here. Other outlets have to be notified. I'm not sure where those are or how it's possible to happen within 5 days. But they obviously aren't getting the message from Shockernet.

                            ... No really, deuces.

Funny you say that, because that is pretty much what Coach K/Duke said about why they (students) get the prime seats

How does our TV revenue compare to Duke's?
