Good find. I researched this awhile back, just for fun and found basically the same thing. WSU plates over the last 8 years or so have out numbered KU and KSU combined each year. A lot WSU fans out there support KU and KSU, which gives those fans a false thinking that they have a larger fanbase in Wichita...but when it comes down to picking 1 team WSU will win out easily every time.

LOL still not givin up my vet tags ,,on either the Harley or my pick up ,,, might convince the other 1/2 to put a WSU plate on her Charger tho ,,,Hmmm

Lutz is the only true Wichita sports guy, that I like. He knows the history, the people, and he's grumpy... so, I like him a lot. I miss him on the radio. (the downside being his infatuation with the Cardinals)

He's old enough to be a long-term Cardinals fan before the Royals ever came around.

I only consider something like that a negative if they clearly didn't have a reason to support that team.

Just an FYI and heads up for everyone that didn't know this already, but $30 of the license tag fee you pay for the vanity Shocker Kansas license plate goes towards WSU Scholarship. It's not just a pretty Wu on your car, it actually benefits students at WSU.

I bought one back when I was in college '96-'02, because we had to pay for parking...I figured if I had an alumni tag I wouldn't get a ticket and it was cheaper than paying to park. Never got a ticket! ...and one time I did see a Wu cop patrolling for parking violators, pulled up behind my car then went on about his business. Have had them on both cars ever since.

KSN is all I watch in the morning (4:30-5:00). They never have a sports person on but they still always talk the Shocks and show game highlights. I may just be blanking it out but I don't recall them ever talking or showing game highlights of the chickenhawks or mildcats.

I get most of my Shocker and general sports info from ShockerNet, goShockers.com, Paul Suellentrop in the online edition of the Eagle and ESPN.

My wife and I like the KWCH weather guys especially Ross and Millie, although Millie is kind of a dog.

We like Roger and Cindy as well. However, I must say I have no idea how Bob Hull nabbed Cindy.

Usually, if we have made it through the weather without falling asleep we might watch the sports but usually there is nothing reported that I don't already know.
