I don't have Cox so I didn't get to watch, just looking at the box score, did we really get called for like 19 fouls in the 2nd half?!? I want to say we had 5 at halftime, I couldn't believe the game total. Was ISU just looking to get fouled & shoot FT's? Were the fouls legit?
We had more than 5 in the first half, but the officiating was a joke.

Nobody but Nobody beats the Shocks on the 11th day of the month for 22 wins and 30 home wins in a row. No wonder the Big Boys don't want to come here to play.

Yes, I agree totally. How did we make the inside shots tonight while getting hammered and no whistle. Then if we even looked at them wrong inside there would be quick on quick whistles against us, sometimes as though they anticipated it and assumed it would be a foul before it happened and sometimes it did not. Wow!!! Terrible!!!

Mr. Cotton deserved 4 points on that 3 that hit the rim, bounced high in the sky above the shot clock, came down and clanked 3 more times utilizing every inch of the rim, and falling through the twine.

Trees board quite complimentary of the Shox. Pretty classy fanbase.
I think they will be a handful at their barn. They have some fine players. Turnovers hurt them tonight which was a credit to our D. They slowed Baker down but Carter, FVV, and Cotton picked up the slack. Baker just did other things to help us because they kept him covered up.

I agree about Baker. His value goes way beyond his own scoring. The extra defensive attention he draws is beneficial for the others.
It would be tempting for a player like Ron to force the issue to get his points. Team-players like Ron just dive for balls, pass the ball to open players, rebound, set picks and put the team first ahead of individual accomplishments. We have a team full of such unselfish players.

In the last couple games, FVV assist to turnover ratio is off the charts. On a night that Baker was covered up and the whistles were not consistent at all, FVV did lots of important things to keep us in charge of the game. I especially enjoy how he is also rebounding like a windex Rep, and penetrating with either a pull-up jump shot to avoid charging, a nice pass to open players who get open due to his penetration, and the way he finishes if the lane remains open all the way for the easy layups. About the time our foes adjust to the 3 areas, he will kick it to an open Shocker for a 3 pointer. We need to really enjoy FVV because he is a one of a kind solid point guard that quarterbacks with the very best of the best.

This.....I think Indytreeman is in bromance mode for the Shockers!
If you're talking about me, guilty as charged. I love the way the Shocks play. Basketball as it should be. I didn't always have this "thing" for Shocker basketball, but as you were destroying us in St. Louis a few years back, it hit me during the game - in spite of my team being crushed, I really appreciate the way Marshall coaches and the fire with which his teams play.
Yep,I have have a man crush on the Shockers. So shoot me...

The same thing happened to me in the Dave Stallworth days and it just keeps getting better but I am allergic to bullets.
