I told mrs p that I couldn't blame anybody for leaving this one early.

we stayed but last night was a night i dont really blame people for leaving a little early. subs were in, officials were horrible and dragging the game out at this point. it was almost 9 and still had 5 minutes left in the game.

that being said most nights i dont feel like there is much reason at all to leave early.

I honestly fear that some day all games will be called in this fashion (swallow your whistles until players come to blows).

It's where the trend's been heading for a decade and a half.

The only 2 things that sucked tonight was Zelton Steed like always and our student section (its ok to make chants and cheers).

Student section was better last night than it has been for a few other games this year. I think everybody (non students included) could do a better job.

Some similarities with Garratt "the Clutch" Stutz and Rauno "yippee skippee, no mississippi" Nurger. A redshirt for both as Freshmen would have been nice in retrospect. Stutz was solid on throws and Rauno is a solid 3-point shooter. I was wishing Nurger could be a starter this Season but 3G wants him to defend better and rebound more. Once Stutz got his legs stronger, he had productive Junior and Senior Seasons for us. Likewise, I think Nurger will be solid and stronger by his Junior and Senior years with some nice improvements next Season. If I recall, Nurger had a 15-16 point game against Saint Louis but played little in the next game versus Seton Hall due to match-ups. As good as Paul Miller was, he did not always play as much versus some teams due to match-ups either, so it happens.

For the first time in years I left early. Granted, it was with 1 minute to play and it takes roughly 1 hr, 15 mins to get from our seat to our garage and my son has school today. I felt like the Steed and his fillies forced my hand.

Have I ever told ya'll that FSF has only lost one fight ever? I was running from a gal and tripped, got jumped, and then it got messy, painful, and somewhat humiliating baybay, even though I was a real trooper through it all. It took at least 15 seconds before I exclaimed 'uncle, aunt, and help.' She just got lucky, that's is all. It sort of reminded me of this melee!!! Yipes, stripes, beechnut gum!!! muhahahaha!!!!!!!

i agree most of the time. but walk ons are not the future generation even though they show they can function and i appreciate the effort they give the program for not alot of accolades. The other night when we were playing all scholarship players for long stretches and they even extended the lead. now that was exciting to me.

The fans, just like the team, can always do better and find things to improve on. Maybe I should say almost always. I have attended one Shocker game where I thought the fans maxed out from before the beginning of the game through the final play and that was the Florida State NIT game. OTOH, I am not sure I could survive if I had to bring that much effort to every game.
