      I think so.

A little disapointed in the development. He looked much more impressive earlier this season.

If he had improved like Shaq, I'd be downright giddy.

Can someone who is a better talent evaluator than me tell me the difference between Stutz and Nurger at similar points in their career? If Nurger were forced to play Stutz's minutes as a Frosh how do you think the development would compare?

          Edit for typos

I agree. His defense and rebounding is tight, just need him to turn the page on his offensive play book.

I doubt I'm a better talent evaluator than you, but Nurger appears to be ahead of Stutz at this stage of their D1 careers.

there's a big difference though. Stutz was an 18-year-old Fr and Nurger is a 21-year-old Fr. The difference in physical development (not necessarily BB development) appeared to help Stutz quite a bit as he simply got older and grew into his body.

That makes it harder to project Nurger's potential or ceiling. One thing is certain - it always takes the big guys longer to develop than it does the smaller guys.
The future's so bright - I gotta wear shades.

I feel like he seems more calm and improved on the floor than lots of the scholarship players

                        • Fred with another really good game. Geez, 15 assists and no turnovers in the last two games. And he's not on the Wooden List? WTF?

                          • A nice, thorough beatdown despite a wretched effort from the officials. I will be one happy camper if we keep it rolling in Normal this Saturday.

I like a handful of things very much right now:

-Pressure defense. This can be a real weapon for us and I love when we press our advantage at the guard positions.

-Rotation tweaks. Having Evan play some 3 while giving Tevin, Rashard and Shaq more minutes in the post is a welcome development. Trust of the newcomers is growing.

-Tempo. We are playing faster as the newcomers are becoming better integrated.

Valentine's Day will be a tough one and I am excited to watch it.

                              • I don't have Cox so I didn't get to watch, just looking at the box score, did we really get called for like 19 fouls in the 2nd half?!? I want to say we had 5 at halftime, I couldn't believe the game total. Was ISU just looking to get fouled & shoot FT's? Were the fouls legit?
