This game and the Evansville game are the two that have got my attention. Maybe at ISUb, but honestly I don't think they are as good as their conference record says. We definitely need to play better in these games, but I trust 3G to straighten things out before then.

I guess UNI is our SUPER BOWL after all.

I'd prefer to wait about 4 more games and see where our two records stand at that point. We can talk all we want about this game but if they tank a few games, take the drama out of the race and drop out of the top 25, it will be kind of funny.

I'm not ready to hang my hat on UNI. If we'd have smoked Loyola and Bradley before and after that game, I'd be thinking UNI was amazing. Don't get me wrong, I think they are fantastic this year. I'm just not so sure we didn't help quite a bit in making them look awesome against us. We have struggled against bad teams in the same stretch.

I'm looking forward to the game though. Id just like to see where both teams stand on, say, Feb 20th before I start super bowling this. It may very well be justified but we don't know today.

ISUR has WSU return game marked on their calendar and probably don't care if they win again in the regular season as long as they humiliate WSU.

WSU will likely be favored against UNI at home as well... doesn't mean we should look forward to the NCAA tournament.

Haha what?? Why the hell can we not look forward to the NCAA tournament? Even if we lose yet again to UNI, it's very very VERY safe to say we will be making the NCAA tournament. I still have the 3rd weekend of March on my mind in anticipation for it. I mean we have a thread dedicated to bracketology, even though it's a little to early, it's still fun to talk about possible match-ups and how deep of a run we can make.

So the same argument can be said for looking forward to the UNI game. It's a bigger games than the ones in between because it's a better opponent and it's the season finale. It has the CHANCE of being the game that determines who wins the conference. Of course I'm excited for all the games left, but I'm more excited for UNI and even more excited for the NCAA tournament.

KenPom gives WSU a 35% chance at winning out until Feb 28. He puts UNI at almost 50%.

That makes for about a 1 in 6 chance that both teams enter that game without another blemish between now and then. I think that is plenty high odds to be worth discussing as a possible "what if".

KenPom now has the odds at better than 1 in 5 (21% to be exact) that UNI and WSU win out until Feb 28.
