Sometimes my nerves get inflamed but I found that having a couple of beers and just getting away from the person thats inflaming them does wonders. But I never ever drive after wards.

On his radio show 3G did say that Darius went to a Doctor for a spine/back adjustment. He said it was a medical doctor and not a chiropractor and that it was something relatively new (assuming I understood him correctly).

You need to send your wife to this guy ...

I'm guessing they sent him to an Osteopath; doctor of osteopathic medicine.

          "What is osteopathic manipulation (OMT)?

OMT is a whole system of evaluation and treatment designed to achieve and maintain health by restoring normal function to the body. Manipulation means the therapeutic application of manual pressure or force. DOs believe structural problems in the spinal column can affect the nerves that radiate out to the various organs, thus causing disease.

Some DOs still use OMT to treat all forms of disease. However, the majority of DOs use manipulation to treat musculoskeletal disorders such as:
          Low back pain
          Neck pain
          Sports injuries
          Repetitive stress injuries
          Some types of headaches"

Osteopathic manipulation treatment (OMT) is used to treat mechanical pain (muscle, tendon or bone pain due to structural imbalance) and other conditions.

Most Osteopaths do not use manipulation and they are just like MDs, in fact your primary care physician might be a DO and you'd never know the difference.

Osteopathic manipulation is still taught at Osteopathic school, but more than likely an Osteopath will simply take their boards and practice "traditional" medicine.

Perhaps it is some new technology or technique the orthopedic docs are using. Who knows. In any case, I hope this does not become a recurring or chronic issue for Darius.

Does that mean we can't play golf anymore?

You might have to just play Sierra Hills because @pogo said he never ever drives after a couple of beers. Not much need of a driver at Sierra Hills.

Actually played there this summer for the first time in about 10 years. I was impressed. Had a good time.

Physiatrist? It's a medical specialty of MD, basically a medical doctor of physical therapy.
