WSU VERSUS EVANSVILLE PREDICTIONS AND PREGAME DISCUSSIONS

While we like to pride ourselves on defense, we need our offense to show up. Evansville puts up lots of points, but they also give up lots of points. I do expect this to be down to the wire. We haven't been great at beating the spread, so having such a small spread (5.5 pts.) isn't comforting. Shocks in a nail biter 76-73.

If you aren't someone who picked WSU to go 18-0 in the MVC, you probably have this game as a loss already. I do, and if we win it, I will be very happy. We already got the @Loyola game. My conservative 15-3 to 13-5ish feeling about this conference season already gained a game back with that one. We can gain back another one with this one.

It will go a long way for us if we pull it off. I'm pretty excited.

I think you need to give WSU some credit, and maybe understand that they will have a plan for Evansville. I think they are going to have a hard time stopping us, to many people that can score. With our freshman preforming better at the post we should be fine. I think the some of the lack of rebounding the last few games was was due to shot selection by who we were playing, long rebounds and a lot of deflections. May have to go bigger and bring Wessel of the bench!

I think everyone here is giving WSU credit... it's just that Evansville deserves a lot of credit too. I think Marshall actually has a pretty good record against them but they've always given us fits, and this is their best team in a while. This is going to be a very, very tough game.

Teams in the 50-100 range are the worst kind of road games when you are ranked. The opponent is certainly good enough to beat you, but not good enough for you to get anything more than a 'yawn' from the pundits if you win.

Should be a fun one. I am especially interested to see if Good Shaq shows up. We will need his better version, I think.

Going into Evansville always makes me nervous. Seems like we never play our best. However, reading the Evansville fan site, they are equally concerned about us. It will probably be a tie.

Evansville is ranked #100 in kenpom tonight, with an off efficiemcy rating of 82 and def rating of 135.
They're ten spots behind nebraska, 6 behind kstate and 11 ahead of creighton
If we deserve a ranking we go in there and take care of business. If we don't, all the empty talk about the kitties and the blowjays is just that. Hot air is as cheap in doodah as it is in lawrence and johnson county
