Including the MVC Tournament and assuming at least a championship game appearance:
31-2: 2 Seed
30-3: 2 Seed
29-4: 3 Seed
28-5: 5 Seed
27-6: 6 Seed
26-7: 8 Seed
Take each of those projections and drop WSU one spot if they fail to reach the MVC finals.
Anyone else care to stick their neck out and make a prediction? This could be fun to look back at come Selection Sunday.
The thing that I'm most curious about is what happens if UNI finishes the season really well. If UNI stumbles and WSU is clearly the best team in the MVC, then I feel great about my predictions.
However, let's say UNI and WSU split their next 2 meetings (one in Wichita, one in the championship game of St. Louis) and both teams win all the rest of their games. At that point WSU is 29-4 and UNI is 30-3. With UNI holding a 2 out of 3 head-to-head advantage over WSU, they probably get seeded higher on the committee's S-Curve. At that point, I start to feel that UNI would probably get a 3 seed and WSU would likely fall to a 4. It is definitely in WSU's interest to show that they deserve to be placed ahead of UNI, because I doubt that there will be room for both teams on the 3 seed line. I would take a win Feb 28th (and again March 8th) by a mere 1 point and be plenty happy, but if ever there was a time where style points might matter and margin of victory might come into play, it would be those 2 upcoming games vs UNI. The blowout loss at UNI made it a much tougher task for WSU to prove they are the definitively better team.
Of course, all of this is blown up if SIU or Bradley decide to go out and beat WSU or UNI.Last edited by Jamar Howard 4 President; February 6, 2015, 03:40 PM.

New bracket from Lunardi. Not a match-up I would like to see...

Gimme That!
If they could lock that in right now I'd take it. Not that I want to see WSU play Bowling Green, but that Ok St game.... Shox match up well. I'd take a 2nd round game against anyone from the Big 12 not named KU. Not scared of KU, just don't want to see WSU fall to a 7/10 seed. With all the respect in the world for Gonzaga, I'd rather them be the 1 seed than UVA or UK.-Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind-
GO SHOX!

#4 seeds risk seeing Kentucky in the Sweet 16. #3 seeds get that matchup delayed for at least 1 more round. Considering Lunardi's current group of #4 seeds includes WSU, UNI, Iowa State, and OU, it seems any of those teams could easily end up in Kentucky's region as all are relatively close geographically. It will be an interesting race to the finish to see which teams can finish well and possibly jump into the #3 seed. Even if WSU went to a different region than Kentucky, I'd much rather see WSU as a #3 seed and avoid the likes of Duke, Virginia, and Gonzaga (the other likely #1s) for a bit longer.
One last thing...
