Well I kind of figured that. I know for certain the initial call by the ref was palming. I may not be a smart man but the palming call is a pretty obvious one. It is up there with traveling and a Safety in Football with obvious ref signals.

Nice win for the Shocks. The Redbirds have some talent as we discussed before the game. The Shocks took all their runs and still won the game. We are still undefeated in the Valley. So far, so good. This Season will have some more nail-biting moments and we will need to bring our A game very night.

Why did we not have our 5's lay back to the basket? I don't remember any of their 5's taking a shot from the line. All they did is draw ours away from the basket so the guards could dribble drive. We need to figure this out by the time we returun this game.

Their 5's were setting picks for their guards. Our 5 has to hedge on the screen so that the guard doesn't have an open 3 every time, usually at the top of the Key which is the easiest 3 to hit. Then their 5 would roll to the basket. This is the standard pick and roll that everyone is using.

The call looks the same as palming. It's also the same as an over and back call.

The effort was better even though the rebounding #s didn't show it. The young bigs need to see screen & roll defense in their sleep. They did okay against it, but ISUr missed a few rolls that were there. All in all though, not an aesthetically pleasing win, but its in the W- column. I still wish this team would pick up the pace once in a while. Oh, and Ron Baker is a 'bad bad boy'. That block on the fast break....... wow.

It became apparent that their game plan was to clear out and drive. The only 3 point threat tonight was Knight. I would have called off the hedge, gotten a little help from the wings and had the 5's protect the rim. It would have put more pressure on the guards but would have hindered the driving strategy. (Don't tell Gregg I said this)

Great game Shocks!!!! We're still getting everybody's BEST shot. Redbirds are good!!! Could this be a 3 or gump 4 bid league again this year??? Big-time props to their 7 footer with the bad back. Shaq played a good journeyman's game. Hey we're 2-0 in the MVC! Loved the energy tonight!!!

Just a couple of observations before I skedaddle.

We haven't been pushed around for a long time. Teams are under the impression we can be muscled up and pushed around (see @shoxlax: comment re FVV). I'm getting a little tired of it. We need to knock somebody's ass into next week.

I hope everyone realizes how special last year was.

ISU has some really good young parts. I said last year how much I liked Lynch. He could be special. Many ISU fans think WSU whines. Have they looked at Lynch? He's NEVER committed a foul. EVER. Every call is met with a not me or an OMG. I don't know if these "parts" can be coached, or if Muller is the one to coach them, but they have a high ceiling.

How in the world did they lose to ISUB?

4 years of being everyone's Super Bowl is becoming tiring....for fans and players alike.

Speaking of the fans, my personal opinion is we suck right now. We could barely be heard on the concourse. That's sad. It's not ok to only yell when Cotton makes a #SCTop10 dunk or Baker makes another NBA play. We all seem to expect perfection from the team......The FSU NIT crowd called and they want their passion back.

It was good to see @pinstripers: at the game.

We look tired from Gregg on down. Everyone seems tired.

Baker can't play every minute the rest of the way. Not the way he plays.

Nice to be back at home and get the W. Continuous ownage of the Redturds. That's something like 10 out of the last 11 or some ridiculous statistic like that.

Also nice to see TC continue to provide SC highlights with Redturd jerseys in the background. Becoming status quo.

For as much as Redturd fans ***** and moan about Marshall whining to referees or calling Ron a p***y (their words, not mine, class acts btw), Mr. First Place Vote himself is the biggest whiner I've ever seen. He CONSTANTLY moaned and pissed and had a word in a striper's ear. Even when AfroLynch went down, he spent the whole time barking at officials, rather than checking the status of his own player. Muller may just be mediocre enough to get a few talented guys in there to give the Redturds a steady diet of 4th place finishes, which may give him job security for a while. Which is fine by me, because he's Marshall's *****.

This +100. Pretty embarrassing to be on national TV. I am growing weary of our whiny, spoiled, entitlement-minded fan base. I like the fan base that rallies around their team and sticks with them through the good and the bad. PATHETIC!
