with all the games that have been on tv this holiday break, nearly every game the announcers comment on lack of students/fans in the seats due to break. Did anyone notice the student section (and rest of the arena) was packed? Says alot for shocker fans. Yes, there were some periods of less-than-rowdy fan noise due to slow offensive possessions and the other team answering back with a shot of their own. Been attending games for 20+ yrs now and believe me, this is a special time for shockers of all ages. There was one point during the game that coach was waving his arms wanting more noise (which doesnt happen often). This was a good/average fan showing for noise, which is typically well above noise levels at most other venues. Always fun time at the Charles Koch Arena and dont expect our fanbase to become "entitled fans".

1. figured the dunk would be higher than the block on ESPN
2. Saw Doc at halftime!
3. Shaq has explosion in his leap. God, we need that.
4. Color me skeptical about the "leopard changing his stripes", though.
5. There is no one on earth who can predict Marshall's substitution pattern.
6. What happened to Kelly?
7. Maybe we'll be solid at the 5 going forward. Maybe.
8. We couldn't get Baker open for a three. That's troubling.
9. I agree that the crowd could not sustain any energy, and we needed to several times.
10. The officials let them push and shove out on the perimeter. That's just wrong.

One thing about WSU is which is a credit to the coaching staff and players is they play hard every game, every minute of the game and regardless if things are going well or not and they keep fighting even when most teams would give up.

-Wamukota was the first guy off the bench and gave some nice minutes. He had some really nice moments fighting for loose balls and rebounds and his defense was improved.
-Evan Wessell
-Rashard Kelly has played more like a freshmen the last couple of games. Hope he turns it around but he may be Shockernets next target to leave the team. You must play up to our standards every game or you will be subject to removal from the team.
-Love seeing Ron drive the ball more. He's got such a complete game.
-was this our best defensive game in a while?
-My goodness, Tekele. He went full on Monstars for that dunk.
-Darius on the block is dangerous. I like that we fed him more and I like that if he didn't have a great look he would kick out and repost. When he's patient and goes up strong he's tough to stop.
-people continue to want to point out the flaws of this team. Have at it. I'm enjoying seeing the improvements, however small, each game. It seems like they're slowly but surely gaining their own identity as a team. So much of the talk this year has been comparing the two squads and wishing we had X player back. Meanwhile the guys actually on the team this year, who are pretty good themselves, are slowly finding their roles and ways to contribute. If we want depth were going to have to let some young guys play which means it isn't always going to be pretty but the pieces are there it just depends on when they put it all together.
No, I am not excusing the Shockers rebound play."Prediction is very difficult, especially if it is about the future."

No love lost between these two coaches. Very tepid handshake at end. Commented on it to a friend when it happened at the game (they noticed it too) and it looked just as heartwarming on tape. Hope we improve by leaps and bounds before going to Normal. Lynch will probably have his back problems taken care of and will be 100%. Don't know when the big guy with the broken hand will be available and then there is "Teddy" with his foot problem. If they have all of them back at top form that game could be a battle.

It's also the reason I still don't believe UK will go undefeated. They should go undefeated against the remainder of their schedule. I just don't see how Cal gets his team of 18 and 19 year olds up for every away game against the SEC. The UK team with Anthony Davis also should've gone undefeated, but it didn't. The UK team with Nerlens Noel should've gone undefeated. They should've gone undefeated last year. It just doesn't happen.

Especially when you know your team is more talented, and should be ranked #1.
