Lmao. Seton Hall fans talking smack on their board about our schedule the last two years and the fact that we "haven't really played or beaten anyone." Please oh please let us embarrass them by 30.

We just got lucky that they all were "good enough" to rotate in and out and had lots of fouls to give. Darius came on later and Lufile made huge strides. None of the 3 really ever dominated and we didn't need them to. I feel like we're in a similar situation now if we rotated Nurger, Shaq and Wamukota. Slide Darius over to the 4 and he probably wouldn't foul as much. It would give us more size underneath and give us the luxury of bringing in Evan at the 3 or 4, wherever he is needed most.
Ummm..last year, we also had a guy by the name of Ceanthony Early that significantly factored into our front line success. We havent found a replacement for that yet..

No doubt about that. Darius has some skill to stretch the 4 a bit but nothing like Early. On the other hand, Nurger can stretch the 5 more than anyone last year.

I was intrigued by your statement so I went to look,,,I guess I saw a pretty good balance of homerism with reality.Saw plenty of respect for WSU, while some rose colored hope for their team. And even one guy took issue with the schedule mocker, saying last years' was pretty good.

They did already play George Washington, who KenPom has ranked #32 nationally as a defense. They won, but only scored 58 points. I do not think Seton Hall will win tomorrow if they score 58 points.

Which begs the question... Do we think Seton Hall will score much more than 58? I'm not so sure. I would give them Utahs 69 points as a ceiling and even then, I'd put my dollars on WSU.

Obligatory caveat that Utah used OT to get to 69. Had 60 in regulation.

Given what I have seen from SH, I would not be surprised if this game was a little more free-flowing, but I am also not convinced that is necessarily a good thing for SH.

Most of the people there seem alright, I only see a couple fans saying that. Of course, they were probably saying that the last time we matched up with Seton Hall. The fact that Sean Ogirri dunked in that game is probably all you need to know about it to know how it turned out.

I'm starting to think you'll be able to count the number of teams who reach 60 points on the Shockers on two hands, maybe one.

Don't think Seton Hall will make it there, but I like a final of 86-66!:poster_wsu:

Thanks for going out of your way to point that out. I'm sure you had to go through quite a tussle to find that.

What's the average of all the defenses they've faced so far this year?

Seton Hall has played quite a gauntlet themselves so far to get to 7-0. They definitely are worthy to talk junk.

Well you're talking about St. Louis there. I don't think they have plans or realities of going deep in March. I for one do NOT want to go into March playing Darius at the 5. We would not go very far in my humble opinion. The 3-headed monster worked great last year. Develop our guys this year into another 3-headed monster....and our chances go way UP in March!!!! Darius is a much better 4 than 5 me thinks.

If he plays the 4 he's likely matched up with someone more mobile. I don't think that benefits Darius.

From where I sit his foul troubles aren't caused by a lack of height. I also don't recall a team killing us by posting up and shooting over him.

Bottom line he needs to play better no matter what position.

I don't disagree with you that the other players need to continue to develop. Nurger and Shaq need to play the 5 and continue to improve and moving Carter to the 4 when they do is what should happen, but I don't think that moving Darius is a magic bullet by itself. And I do like Carter and Kelly playing together some which means that Darius plays the 5. Those four players in my opinion should get the minutes. We are better at the full court trap when Carter is at the 4.
