I was glad to see that. I don't mind advertisements before the game starts. But once the game starts I like the ribbon to focus on the game and WSU only. Having Kstate ads on the ribbon during the WSU-Tennessee game was very offensive to me.

    • For some reason I was totally oblivious to the ribbon board during the SLU game. Just focusing on other things I guess like the team manager in the short black outfit and spiked heels serving up the Gatorade to the players during timeouts. The Shocker dance team was also close by. Not to mention watching 3G. All quite entertaining.

        • Sure did enjoy hearing the intros and various audio/video media loud and clear at IBA. IBA might have a large amount of downfalls (IMO), but it embarrasses CKA in this regard - where the WSU admin apparently picked up a few home theater components from Best Buy and hung them from the ceiling.

I thought this had been covered ad nauseam, the problem at Koch isn't the quality of the components but the challenge of getting amateurs to make the adjustments needed given the attendance differences of various events.

There has to be at least 3-4 times the volume of center-array loudspeakers at IBA, as compared to CKA. Is there 3-4 times the airspace, or 3-4 times the sound-absorbing humans?

On the "attendance variations" - there has essentially been the same number of attendees at WSU men's basketball games going on 10 years now.

IBA sounded great on Saturday, for a full-capacity basketball event - something that actually might be a first for facility and staff.

From a TV perspective, I vaguely remember the ribbon board, but distinctly remember short black skirt and high heels! That was interesting, to say the least.

                    • Wand searches at arena events were implemented last year per arena policy - http://www.intrustbankarena.com/news...9&task=display

I was surprised by the line after the game for the shuttles back to I think Lawrence Dumont. Came out of the arena after the game and the line was probably a couple hundred people plus deep.

That is only two bus loads, maybe three. That, IMHO, would be expected immediately after the game. What does the LD lot hold, 1500-2000 vehicles?

Clearly I need to pay more attention during breaks in the action when I'm watching on TV. Where's Wstate with highlights when you need him?

I searched the interwebs and failed; I did watch the game again last night on 'Cox' and found out what the hoopla was about. Yikes!
Unfortunately, I wasn't able to come up with any photos of the young lady in the black mini skirt and high heels, however I did locate these nuggets. The first is titled "Hello" and the other two are "Give 'em the Shocker 1" and "Give 'em the Shocker 2"; I'll let you all dissect the photos. Ha!

If you DVR'd the game, check during the first half timeouts and you'll get a quick glimpse; she's the team 'watergirl'. Could be a reason the team lost some court focus the second half. Honesty, I can't believe she would wear a pair of these (pumps) to a BASKETBALL GAME!
