The process was handled differently in my line.

I did not see anyone in my area get the pat down. Wand only. 5 - 10 second process per person. Maybe if people did not take metal out of their pockets (change, cell phone, etc.) they got the pat down?

I did not get the pat down this time but I've gotten it in the past. I actually got it twice in a row by different members of security because they couldn't coordinate their lines well enough.

As always, I thought the IBA game was awesome. I would take them all down there....

I like the aggressive EW. He doesn't have to make all of them, but he needs to be a threat for floor spacing.

It was great seeing RN get going. Hopefully this is a launching pad game for his career.

It sounded like from his postgame interview with MK that he's "getting it' more each game. He doesn't have to think as much during the game.

Some thought just because he is a coaches kid, he will develop quicker and have a higher ceiling. Some do, some don't. Having said that, I believe he will be a high level contributor at PG. He is hesitant and unsure right now. This will pass. That won't be the case next year.

I think the reason he seemed hesitant in the game is because there were 4 other newcomers in the game with him. I think if all the other starters were in the game and he had only substituted for FVV, he would have done better.

I have to say, having a venue like the IBA really plays into 3G's hands. At least from a TV perspective, the place is very impressive. I'll admit, I've not yet had the chance to step in the arena but the way it's presented on TV places it amongst other top flight programs in the country. Watching the highlights of other games around the NCAA on Sports Center, one can see a lot of games in sparsely filled arenas of varying sizes. Every time you see Wichita State highlights, the place (and that goes for just about every venue) is packed to the rafters.

And that was evident Saturday evening. Man, that looked great over here on the east coast. The crowd was awesome and I can only imagine what it must have been like to be in the building seeing it first hand. That's a great added attraction for recruiting, I'm sure. That's an NBA size crowd right there and I'm sure the newcomers must have been electrified when they came out onto the court for the first time. You can tell why 3G is excited about the opportunity to play in IBA.

Speaking of recruits, anybody know of any 2016 recruits who might have attended the game? If I'm 3G, that's one of the games I'd want a potential Shocker to attend.

As a matter of fact, there were hardly any any advertisements on the ribbon board, which was different

You can attribute that to there not being a KState game at IBA this year. No game means no chance at an IBA fail.

Personally, my opinion of the security pat downs and wanding of metal detectors on every person that enters is not for safety but for trying to negate people to bring their own booze into the venue that charges $8 for a budlight.

Being a fair-weather fan, I would not go to IBA if it was cold or rainy. Just takes too damn long to get inside. Might be different if it was my only chance to see them live, I suppose; but that long line was just stupid.

I arrived at the arena at around 4:50. Thought for sure we would be late to our seats but we reached our seats just before tip off. No pat down. Line was long but was moving at a pretty steady pace. I have had much worse line waiting at Disney World. 15,000 people definitely fills up the Old Town area.

Most the people in line seemed to be in good spirits. However, I can see where that experience is not for everyone.

It sounds like the pat down in Wichita is fairly new to the area. If so...consider yourselves lucky. This has been going on in my part of the woods for the better part of 15 years thanks to craziness of 911. The only good thing that comes from it is that I suppose me and my family feel safer amongst huge crowds and thankfully there's a plethora of security to move things along super quick. That Atlanta Olympic bombing and 911 sure has changed our world hasn't it. Sheesh.
