I'm mad, but damn the team showed heart.

We're not gonna play that bad again all season. Credit to the Utah D, they shut down Baker, but we missed a TON of open shots. Fred got hot late but it wasn't one of his best games overall.

A tough loss against a good team in a hostile environment sucks, but it's a good learning experience. I'm not a fan of the whole "you need to lose games to get the pressure off you or to learn from them" mentality, but I'd rather this loss happen here than in March.

I don't think these guys had any visions of grandure clouding their focus but if they did hopefully this knocks that right out.

No one had a great game. Everyone has something to learn from this one.

The difference in the game, came in back-to-back possessions:

1) Ron missed dunk
2) Luckiest bounce in three ever.

FWIW Gottlieb said he liked Fred more because of this game. This was before Fred started making baskets.

What we know: WSU and Utah are top twenty teams and it's December.

We sure had our chances. I'll take FVV on the line any time in that situation knowing he will almost always make them. Wessel had some nice makes and missed a shot he will normally make.

We sure struggled stopping their two 7-footers. We just did not get enough offensive rebounds but still made a great comeback and really could have won this game.

Shaq has made improvements.. but boy is he gonna hear it while watching tape. That was some of the weakest rebounding I've ever seen from a Marshall-coached team.

Hell of a run. Lost to a really good team who played well 43% from 3 only 11 turnovers and only 12 fouls in 45 minutes. We lose Darius and Shaq and Evan come up big.

We'll learn a lot from this game and these guys have NOTHING to be ashamed of......perhaps all of us needed to hit the reset button.

We'll be better and sharper going forward and I personally can't wait to get to Intrust on Saturday and cheer them on.
