It as really loud on TV. Not just at the end either. You couldn't really even hear the announcers most of the game.

Pretty sure Dick will remember the hard-nosed comeback over the sometimes lacking, unShockerlike performance earlier in the game.
Where oh where is our T. Boone Pickens.

Mehh...At the end all he could talk about was the heartbreak of Alabama and the missed opportunity. I think the thing he will remember is our Shocker hospitality and selling 300 books.

Were we watching the same game? The announcers were talking about how Alabama had kept the crowed out of the game. They only mentioned the noise the last 4 minutes. I was actually kinda embarrassed by last night, up until the last 4 minutes.

Crowd noise was not real apparent on tv most of the night. Fairly quiet all evening until the end. There might have been a shimmering of noise once or twice before that...but nothing to write home about. A bit disappointing...maybe because it was a Tuesday night and people just weren't "feeling" it last night. Too bad...because the ESPN2 broadcast was REALLY good and I'm sure the production people were hoping to hear the legendary crowd all night. Maybe next time...

At the beginning if the game, the other announcer, the one who called Rashard, Rashard Carter, said the crowd was as loud a crowd of 20,000...

We always seem to have 2-3 games a year like this. They usually result in a loss to SIU or to Bob Evansville.

Over the course of a season, you have 3 games where the crowd disappoints, 3 games where they blow you away, and the rest define who the crowd really is...

The crowd was a bit disappointing (again.. hey do we have a theme here?) If you can't get loud for Dickie V on national TV against opponents that often don't come to Koch, then it's hopeless. And then you can say our fanbase has it the "wall", where they feel maybe a bit entitled, expecting blowout wins everyday, and are just content in their ways.

On the other hand, there wasn't much to cheer about for a lot of the game last night. We were bothered, played sloppy, and the game had zero flow to it. It's hard to get into a game, no matter what the circumstances, when you have all of those factors going up against you.

A saving final 5 minutes though. It was pretty loud then.

                      ... No really, deuces.

It was a hard game for the crowd as a whole to get revved up until those last five minutes. We did finish strong, which is always good.

I don't see how anyone can b1tch about the crowd last night. The crowd is going to reflect what's happening in the game. People aren't going to get up and scream bloody murder when Fred dribbles into three guys that are bigger than him and turns the ball over. But those llast five minutes were insane. I haven't heard it get that loud in two or three years.

I agree with the comments about last nights crowd, it really felt embarassing when Antione Carr had to beg the crowd to get off its collective ass! The look on his face....my word.
