    15.02.8 Recruited Student-Athlete.

    For purposes of Bylaw 15, a recruited student-athlete is a student-athlete who, as a prospective student-athlete: (Adopted: 1/15/11 effective 8/1/11)
    (a) Was provided an official visit to the institution's campus;
    (b) Had an arranged, in-person, off-campus encounter with a member of the institution's coaching staff (including a coach's arranged, in-person, off-campus encounter with the prospective student-athlete or the prospective student-athlete's parents, relatives or legal guardians); or
    (c) Was issued a National Letter of Intent or a written offer of athletically related financial aid by the institution for a regular academic term.
    The future's so bright - I gotta wear shades.
    We like to cut down nets and get sized for championship rings.

      Almost certainly true, Royal. Vastly more likely that he's a fan, acquaintance, or even possibly a disappointed VCU backer trying to have a little trolling fun with some of our Nervous Nellies (although that last possibility seems less likely based on his mild-mannered second post and subsequent disappearance).

      Really, how plausible is it that a player who was mightily impressed on his visit with how honest, direct, and detailed Marshall was in talking about his plans and the Shocker program -- and who was at that point already, at least according to the official Shockernet Headcount of Doom (brought to you this week by Chicken Little and Phog.net), #15 for next season:

      a) would be worried about someone transferring in who almost certainly won't even be on scholarship at first, and
      b) even if he was concerned, would ask a fan board how things are going to work out instead of the coach who wowed him and his family with his clear vision and straightforward explanations.

      NFL, I'd say (not _____ likely).
