Or was it a trick question? The defense will keep it tight until Fred figures out what the offense needs...but Fred has known what the offense needs since 2013 against Gonzaga at the buzzer. So, Fred already knows, and I think the defense is going to be confused about what to do. This must mean it's a double negative and the defense won't keep it tight at all. Therefore, he was either predicting a blowout from start to finish, or he was predicting that the defense will work against Fred and keep it tight regardless of the offense because Fred will not need to figure out anything about what the offense needs.

I'm very confused by Pogo's prediction...:)

EDIT: I figured it out. He meant the defense will keep the game "tight" as in "pretty tight" or "sweet" or "pretty rad."

Don't normally weigh-in on this kind of pregame banter, but seen a couple of mentions of the SDSU game Utah played earlier. SDSU led comfortably in that game until very late and while the outcome was 4 pts, I did not feel that the actual outcome of that game was ever in doubt. Wright was off badly that day and SDSU physically was too much for Utah. I also don't think that Utah exposes what I believe to be our biggest weaknesses and our stregth is better IMO than the strongest part of their team. While I think Utah at home will obviously play well at home, we will have enough to win. Top 10 teams should be able to go on the road and win these games and I expect that to happen tomorrow night.

Excited for this game! The last time two ranked teams played in the Huntsman Center was Feb. 27, 1999 when the No. 12 Utes defeated No. 21 New Mexico. I was two then. We have about one sold out game a year. Utah has turned it around from the terrible days of Jim Boylen and Ray Giacoletti coaching. Larry K is a fantastic coach, we have a great recruiting class that has showed up. Delon Wright is the best player I have seen at Utah since Andre Miller and Andrew Bogut. Should be an electric atmosphere and a great game. GO UTES!

Espn shows the Maryland - Virginia game starting at 8:15 CST on ESPN2 Wednesday night. Am I reading that wrong, or are we going to have to watch a good chunk of the first half on espn3?

That is a bit worrisome. Both of the games before us have their official tip times listed at :15. Hopefully our game just gets pushed back to :15 also. If not, hopefully we can at least get pushed to ESPNews instead of ESPN3.

Utah is putting on a show for the game and TV. They're striping up the seating sections. You know, it's pretty simple here, all TC has to do is shut down their best player (Delon Wright) and we got this. They have 11 players who average 10 or more minutes per game, so they're a little deeper than us.

If we lose, I blame it on the altitude.
