Their top game is quite good - San Diego State, but it was a loss (however a close loss).

Our boys have been in big situations and have thrived off of opposing gyms. Utah is probably gonna play extra inspired, getting a Top 10 team in their gym in front of a sold-out crowd on national tv.

This is by far are toughest non-con regular season test in several years. It's gonna be a dogfight. I'm also nervous about this one. I just hope we play good ball. Then I'm ok with what happens. We are amazingly good when we score 70+. We live precariously when scoring under 70.

So with that said:

Pretty hard to get much of a read on Utah due to the generally weak schedule they have played so far. The only real measuring stick that means much is their 49-53 loss at San Diego State which is a very solid performance.

We know they have a go-to scorer in Delon Wright, they appear to have good scoring balance, they have good size with one 7 footer starting and one in reserve, they can knock down the 3-ball well shooting a very good 44.6% (45/101) as a team and they are well coached The are out-rebounding their opponents by an average of 11.5 per game but again that is against a weak schedule. The Utes did outrebound SDS 38-34 but they only shot 24.0% (6-25) from 3-point range. SDS basically won he game at the line outscoring the Utes 18-11. Shocks not likely to have an advantage in FT's playing on the road.

My gut tells me a win @ Utah will be very tough to come by and will prove to be a very good win on our resume at year end if we can get it.

No prediction, but if we get out there with a win of any proportion I will be a very happy camper.
