I'm not seeing the underperformance here. Watch some other PGs and what they try to do. He's not hitting a high percentage of 3s, but otherwise he really is controlling the game.

You know, those of us who have been discussing Fred seeming off his usual excellent performance have been doing it in a thoughtful way. We are not attacking his character, or work ethic, or desire. Just noting that he has not been performing the way we are accustomed to. The only slug on here is you.

Fred is off to a slow start in many ways. He has 11 assists to 4 turnovers. A very good 2.75 to 1 ratio but well below his 4 to 1 ratio of last year and he is shooting 37.5% from the field including 1 of 9 on three-pointers and his FT shooting is okay at 72.7% but not what fans or Fred himself would expect from him.

That said it is only 3 games early in the season and I have no doubt Fred will improve on those numbers. Also, Fred was pretty much an unknown quantity coming into last season. Not so this year. He is a marked man and opponents no doubt are focused on at least trying to slow him down.

He still is amazing on how easily he can get to the basket against bigger and in many cases more athletic competition.

However, their is one statistic where Fred is as good as ever and that's the team is 3-0 and when you are the leader of the team that is what you should be measured by above all else.

Fred is a stud.
