While this uk team might be better than last years tourney team by then, they aren't right now, we played them even last year and are probably not at last years level yet but we would have a shot. Definitely wouldn't lose by 32

It's not very often that I go all Dennis Green and look at a team and crown their ass. Kentucky is one of those rare teams. We need to crown their ass now. They are heads and tails above everyone.

I'm not a fan of Kentucky. I'm not a fan of Calipari. I hate Calipari; I think he is a low integrity cheater. That said, he has put a team together that is heads and tails above any other college team. Crown 'em. And he can take the trophy and shove it up his cheating ass.
There are three rules that I live by: never get less than twelve hours sleep; never play cards with a guy who has the same first name as a city; and never get involved with a woman with a tattoo of a dagger on her body. Now you stick to that, and everything else is cream cheese.

I'm going to wait until we see them play some better teams before I go that far. Are they the favorites at this point? Sure. But there are other really good teams out there.

I'll say it again. I think people are looking at the the name on the jersey and saying "wow, they just hammered the #5 team in the country by 32, bring on the spurs." KU is not even close to the fifth best team right now. And, from what I've seen so far this year, I'm not sure they even have the potential to be that good by the end of the year.

Oh Gawd NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Not trying to be overly crazy confident....but it would be almost next to impossible to blow out Cotton, Ron and Fred. There's even probably a handful of NBA teams that couldn't blow our guys out by 32. Seriously....

I wonder if the beakers score more than forty (40!) if they still had Frankamp.

Simple, maybe -- but not easy. Still, it's hard not to wish the Shocks get another chance.

I'm not saying Kentucky would be competitive in the NBA, but have you seen how terrible the Sixers are?

                    I would like their chances.

Here's my question for all those (Calipari included) who think Kentucky would get boatraced by NBA teams. If Chaminade could beat Virginia...if Christian Brothers could beat Memphis...if (fill in the blank with many other examples), why couldn't Kentucky beat a crappy NBA team in one single game?

You put this UK team in the NBA now and give 2 or 3 yrs.

Probably good chance they could win an NBA title.

Gonna be fun to knock them off in April.

There's a story about the '92 dream team. They played the college allstars and lost. The college players got a big head and talked some trash. The next day, they played again. The college players didn't score a point.

If UK played an NBA team, even the Sixers, 100 times they might get lucky once. They might. Even if the vast majority of UK's team will play in the NBA someday, the entirety of the Sixers roster plays in the NBA now by definition. I talked with someone who thought UK would beat the Lakers. Kobe would score 50. There are only a handful of 18 year olds every decade that can be competitive in the NBA at 18. LeBron, Kobe, Garnett... The Sixers would make UK look like the chickenhawks.

I'm not sure they have the star power to win a title. Even if all of them become above average NBA players, you really need an A+ player to win a title in the NBA. Put Anthony Davis on the team though and yeah, they could win a title in their prime. Right now though they might win 1 in 10 games against a horrible team like the Sixers now (with injuries), which is more a testament to their physical traits than their current skillsets. Even a team as bad as the Sixers has a monstrous advantage in terms of overall talent. For example Michael Carter Williams is the RoY and Tony Wroten is averaging 19 PPG in the NBA. Could the Harrison match up to that? Not likely, unless they are shooting like they did against us. Remember that the worst players on the Sixers were still All-American type players in college.

To UK's credit though, they are bigger than most NBA teams and size translates. Even if they don't have the skills or athleticism to match NBA backcourts, they have enough size that they could probably hang with a NBA team on their best night which is way more than most college teams can say. But that only applies to teams like the Sixers that play a lot of young players and don't have much experience or any superstars.

you would need great guard play and a good rebounding game along with very good defense to beat Kentucky. Our bigs would have to have their biggest game of the year and our veterans would just need to play their normal game...I'd like our chances
