This might be the year the college basketball scene in Kansas gets ugly. Both of our instate sister schools do not have high expectations, despite ku starting off overrated and ranked #5. Back to the original subject, I can honestly say I have never been to the EB out West, and after what I've heard I have no desire to. Nor have I tried Deano's, Fox and Hound I was at once, and I wasn't very impressed. I'm with InWuWeTrust, my top places to go are BWW and Old Chicago, I usually get good service at any of them.

i prefer to support local, and do on the daily, but when i want to watch the game - i want to watch the game and have great service too... pumphouse usually fits the bill

Did this Tom guy have a last name that started with an L and ended with a Y? If so, I did some cyber-sleuthing and this cat was repping EB West on his FB page as of just a couple of hours ago, and his LinkedIn page still indicates his employment as the manager at EB West. Weird behavior for someone who just got shite-canned, mostly on the former point.

Whoever runs the EB West FB page (presumably someone of position there) has acted out in a manner quite unusual, in response to a new review brought about by the same event that caused this thread to come into being:



You simply can't react like that to an internet review of your business that's critical! No easier way to drive away your customer base than acting out like the above publically. Ridiculously unprofessional! Whoever wrote that should be fired with prejudice immediately.

Anywho, this Tom L___Y guy has a FB page that indicates him to be a Friends University of Central Kansas accelerated nightschool grad, that also happens to be a hardcore KU fan, and who has a career of 50% bar manager and 50% residential real estate agent. LMFAO! Safe to assume the dude won't rebound from this to be picked up by Koch or Spirit. There are always however numerous mulit-level marketing "opportunities" for someone with his resume.

I like to support people that recognize their mistakes and move to fix them. I'll be curious to see if this fixes their problem. The whole situation sounds inexcusable. How anyone would think that they could push their fandom on their customers like that and keep their job is beyond me.
