Solid effort all around. Impressed with the defense and Shaq. WTF is up with half the crowd not clapping until the opponent's first field goal of each half?

Have only read the posts on this page so this might be a little redundant. What impressed
me most was team defense, depth and court awareness. It all makes me hope like heck
that both Wessell and RB will play their full careers. Nurger and Kelly continue to impress.
Shaq finally made an appearance and a pretty good one - has good upside if, I say if, he
plays angry. Play angry still needs to be the teams mantra. They are so fun to watch when
they are and hitting on all cylinders.

I'm down with that WuDrWu. I get it. It was just one game. My point was simply that I had not seen any effort from him at any time. And that included a couple of looks at some practices earlier this year. He looked like he had already mailed it in. That was simply not the same dude last night. KEEP IT UP SHAQ! Your city is behind you.

Another point that hasn't been discussed as much is about game planning against the Shox. As some have mentioned, trying to win by shutting down FVV is not going to make you victorious. Guess what? FVV doesn't care if he only scores 6 points. You can't deny his defense and his leadership. We have too many weapons. Keeping Fred from scoring is playing right into his game.

FVV was not part of the PG rotation last night...He was the rotation. I think he played all 20 minutes in the first half. Got some rest in the second and I think he was on the floor at the final buzzer. I would like to see him rest more, but never mind my drivel.

Of course, NMSU had 2-3 injured players, but that wouldn't have stopped what our 3-pt and FT shooting could have done. It might have just given them a few more points. So at a minimum, on a good shooting night, we would have won by at least another 10 points.Last edited by 1979Shocker; November 15, 2014, 10:30 AM.

add this to the almost-got-the-name-right list...For some the glass is half full and for others half empty. My glass is out of ice.
