Unless it's a pretty unusual stress fracture, he'll be back soon enough -- although granted, it's definitely a tough break, so to speak, because the Hall will be handicapped without him in however many games he misses. But he isn't their only talent, and this will give some of their other guys a chance to develop and shine, while keeping him fresh for when he returns.
Creighton's thankful for the gift, because they get SHU at home on January 10, which is pretty soon to come back from a stress fracture -- and after losing at fellow former Valley member North Texas (UNT?!), the Jayboys aren't likely counting too many victories these days until they actually hatch. But they don't play at Seton Hall until the end of February, by which time Whitehead is likely to be ready and eager to show that he's back.
