Bradley absolutely should be concerned. This is not a good sign. I projected them for 8th. After that loss I'd bump them down to 9th. Big whoop. Still better than Loyola.

I can remember dropping at least one close game to Athletes First/Athletes in Action (I think we lost two but am not positive). I don't remember ever dropping one against D-2 or D-3 competition.

Not a loss, but in the 2004-05 season, there was a close one against Emporia State. It seems like Jamar Howard was hurt and Rob Kampman was also unavailable (death in family maybe?). There might have been another injury as well. The guys who did play were VERY inexperienced and it showed, as it came down to the final minutes for WSU to win by single digits.78-65

Not looking good for Geno. I'm guessing it's another losing season. Then it's back to the drawing board for Bradley U, and Geno will have to find some other way to pay off his debt to Kent State."Hank Iba decided he wouldn't play my team anymore. - Top-25 teams have lost exhibitions like this in recent years, most notably Baylor and Syracuse.
- Not only was BU without Sutherland, Barnes was out, too. That's two starters, one of them perhaps their best player, the other their PG.
- One of their returning players (Grier) had no problem telling the media that some of the guys took Augustana for granted. It helps when it's not just the coaches who see the problem.
- Lots of newcomers, first game in front of more than a few hundred fans. Although not many more. Eyewitnesses put the actual attendance around 2500.
That's all I got.
