I don't think he will force a player to redshirt if the player doesn't want to, but I'm sure he lays out what is likely to happen PT wise if the player chooses not to redshirt.

This speculation regarding Morris is beginning to get a little humorous. Some on here want him to be so good and so successful it is getting in the way of common sense. Who cares why Shaq is underperforming? The bottom line is that if he begins the year, player 11-13 in minutes earned, we will know that he isn't performing to Gregg's high standards and expectations. If this continues throughout the year, we will know that the leash is getting shorter and he may not be here for long. However, if he is in the rotation 1-9 or perhaps 10, he probably is making progress. I sleep well knowing that we have three bodies (not counting Carter-Bush W, Rauno, and Shaq) with nice potential to choose from for the 5. At any rate, we will know more very shortly. This is going to be a fun year.

I just stared at the roster on goshockers for like 10 minutes so I am an expert now.

Brown may have a year of prep school already, but he is in a tough spot. It seems like he will have to be really good to steal time anywhere. Bush is huge, but there has been no hype whatsoever lately. Those are my two guesses.

I feel like there is just about a zero percent chance that more than 1 C/PF body will be considered for a redshirt. It doesn't seem like it would be Kelly and it REALLY doesn't seem like it will be Nurger. Take them out of the equation and you are basically deciding between Bush and Glass. Well, one guy has been playing a lot longer than the other and had better stats in juco...

Since we are on the annual redshirt thread, I will add my annual plug for redshirting Tekele Cotton to get him in the same class as FVV.

Tekele needs to leave after this season so he can get ready for the NFL.

I think Morris redshirts...kinda weird since he already has...but I dont see JUCO players coming in to redshirt...and the other 4 are prep players and one is the backup to FVV...Ultimately I could see Henderson with the redshirt because Baker can cover FVV here and there like last year.

He would end up loosing a year of playing time since players only get 5 years to play 4, unless they've changed the rules.

Didn't he ask Wessel to redshirt his first year, or someone that same year and they refused?
