Ummmm....unless I'm missing something....in that article....it talks about the two match-ups already scheduled to kick off the season. And in those match-ups....it reads 4 teams that are already preseason ranked. I've checked all over ESPN site and there are NO pre-season RANKINGS yet for college basketball!!!!!!

I realize these things take a little bit of planning in advance, but it's about time Gameday was on a flexible schedule. Had this been in place last year, I'm sure it would have been in Wichita on the last weekend of the season.

The article linked earlier is the first I've heard that Jay Williams and Seth Greenberg appear to be replacing Jalen Rose and Digger Phelps on the Gameday crew. Not that I watched often in the past, but the addition of Jay Williams guarantees that I will be watching even less often in the future.

Possibly im4wsu. Just thought it was weird that rankings haven't even come out yet but ESPN is going ahead with putting the cart before the horse before the rankings officially come out. Oh well.

I am glad they are waiting until the first part of January (2015) to start deciding on which teams will get the honor of hosting ESPN GameDay. Just makes more sense to do it the week before the game, like they do for football, then doing it four months in advance. Plus with this new format, the odds go up a little more for the Shockers to host the event. Maybe not a lot, but they do go up.

If we host Gameday, I will gladly eat my words, and dress like Farmer Fran on national TV. That being said, there is only a chance of this because of the new way they are organizing it this year, and unless UNI is ranked or we are undefeated/#1, it still seems unlikely to me.
