he average of the 7 ballots we have seen so far is 16.7 for WSU and 19.4 for UNI.
Rick Bozich has WSU at #14 this week and drops UNI off his ballot. He rates Seton Hall at #22. Last week he had WSU at #16 , UNI at #23 and had Seton Hall as unranked. I find it interesting that he also ranks Iowa (10-4) at 22, a team that UNI handled pretty easily on a neutral court. http://www.wdrb.com/story/27758132/b...-top-25-ballot

ark Berman moves WSU up to #17 (had them 19 last week), Moves Seton Hall in at #18 and also puts GW in at #25 (first ballot that I have seen GW in top 25, He mentions their win over WSU and at St. Joes as part of the reason). He drops UNI off his ballot (had them at 24 last week). http://www.roanoke.com/sports/columns_and_blogs/blogs/courtside/blog-state-teams-in-the-top-of-my-top-ballot/article_e63cc8b2-94a5-11e4-bd55-cb52083f3935.html

he average of the six ballots that we have seen so far would put WSU at #15, Seton Hall at #20. UNI received votes on 3 of the six ballots so they are still getting votes, it will be interesting to see if they get enough to cling to to the top 25. GW only appeared on one of the six ballots so their chances of being ranked this week don't look good.

      • Guessing we'll check in at 14 this week. Gonna be awfully close re: whether UNI stays in...would be great if they can manage to hang on to #24 or 25. They have a very winnable string of games coming up.

          • #15 and jumped by West Virginia. Hmmmm.

Seton Hall is #19, UNI dropped out by eight votes and is #26. GW is 30th. Utah moves up to #9.

Our schedule is awfully strong at the top this year.

I think this is one week aberration and they will fall behind us. They have only really played TCU, which they won and their one loss is to LSU.

This is simply not a year in which we nor anyone else should be hankering to play Kentucky, except maybe in the Finals, and not really even then.

Normally, I'm a take on all comers type, but I have to agree here. Kentucky's numbers this year are insane. On RPI Forecast, they've already hit >50% chance to go undefeated...with their game at Auburn predicted as a 100% chance of winning.

I still think (hope?) they'll drop one, but to have those types of computer numbers this early in the season is nuts.

Their lowest % chances of winning per KenPom are 83% (@ South Carolina and @ Florida). Combination of a weak SEC and the fact that they're really freaking good.

                        • I think their only chance loss may come at the hands of LSU. Very big, very athletic. They lack depth this year though.

I go the other way on this. I hope we face Kentucky at some point, just not before the second weekend. Not saying we would beat them but I like the shockers in games where no one gives them a chance. Plus I bet the players would love to get another shot at them.

                            • If Kentucky goes undefeated, it won't be as good as our season last year because they would have done it with first round NBA players while we didn't.

Sorry, I would rather play them in the final game of the final four with no one giving us a chance and then I like your thinking.
