The average of the 7 ballots we have seen so far is 16.7 for WSU and 19.4 for UNI.

It would appear that being informed as to wins and losses for teams is not a prerequisite for having an AP ballot.

16th is reasonable. Could easily justify dropping us further, so it shows a lot of national respect.

Polls don't matter. NCAA seedings matter. That being said I would like WSU to stay in the rankings all year.

Polls don't mean everything, but they aren't meaningless either. They are an indicator of national perception. They provide free advertising for the basketball program in general as people see a number in front of the name and take note.
