"I not sure that I've ever been around a more competitive player or young man than Fred VanVleet. I like to win more than 99.9% of the people in this world, but he may top me." -- Gregg Marshall 12/23/13 :peaceful:

Remember when Nancy Pelosi said about Obamacare:
"We have to pass it, to find out what's in it".
A physician called into a radio show and said:
"That's the definition of a stool sample."

Hamilton says he's fully committed, so I'll take him at his word. This isn't like some high school football or basketball recruit who changes his "commitment" every time he takes a visit someplace that really impresses him over the weekend. Hamilton has been with WSU all the way; he's played with the players and built relationships with them and the coaches -- especially Heiar -- and it would be a huge surprise if he ended up anywhere else.
Remember all the speculation and wishful thinking about Buddy Hield? He was placed at Sunrise by OU, and that's where he ended up. Remember how some marquee schools tried to get in late on Van Vleet? We all know how that worked out. Hamilton is a Shocker, and he'll remain one. I'm not worried.

I have a question which will show how uninformed I am.
The route taken by Hamilton has grown increasingly popular in recent years. When players play at a prep school for a year, how exactly does it work in terms of finances and classes? By that I mean (i) how do they fund education costs for that year, and (ii) since they have already graduated high school, what kind of classes are they enrolled in/are they allowed to count for college credit through concurrent enrollment, etc.?
I would guess that most prep schools front their star athletes a full athletic scholarship and place them with a host family who absorbs most COL costs, but I really have no idea.

Correct me if I am wrong, but Eric can sgn another LOI in November, just 3 months or so down the road. Coach was smart to keep this under wraps. I am sure they can keep curious coaches at arm's length for that long....Kansas is Flat. The Earth is Not!!

I'm curious where we will see Brown, Kelly, Hamilton, and Morris. Brown MIGHT be a 6-6 SG, but is a likely SF. I assume Kelly and Hamilton will be combo forwards. Can Shaq play PF? Can he play center? Would love this future line-up:
PG, 6-3 Henderson
SG, 6-6 Brown
SF, 6-9 Hamilton
PF, 6-7 Kelly or 6-8 Morris
C, 6-10 Nurger
Nab a 7' center and 6'+ PG as back-ups and we are good to go!Livin the dream

We like to cut down nets and get sized for championship rings.
