The only report I read on this forum about Glass said he was too skinny and that he was a 3 that couldn't shoot...paraphrasing.

The more I think about it, the more I believe this team will have some bumps in the road early....they just have too many new pieces and too tough a schedule to mow through people like last year. But if they stay healthy, Gregg WILL get 3-6 of the new kids to own what he needs them to own, and then look out come March and April.

My personal goal is to finish this season with a third straight major prediction coming to fruition.

i think wichita state will miss c. early- good inside/outside game and completely fearless. one of the new guys will have to step up and be a serious contender for foy/noy, which isn't a given.

I thought that this was an interesting rating of this years recruits. Bush was rated a 3 star. The 14th best Juco player this year, and the 4th best Juco Center.

Loss of Early is a point of concern but HC3G has already demonstrated the value to his teams of returning the core starters to ensure continued success. IMO the loss of Early will prove no more problematic to a successful season for the Shocker Basketball Team than the loss of Carl Hall was as the 2014/15 Shocker Roster of players is deeper and more talented than the 2013/14 roster.

I am not predicting another undefeated season but do look forward to finishing the season ranked in the Top Ten in the polls and a deep run in the NCAA Tournament.

This year we replace Early. In 2013 it was Hall. In 12 it was Stutz. In 2011 we replaced Durley. I believe all of them were first team All-MVC as seniors. Carter will be the next challenge.

Not only Stutz, we also replaced Murry, Kyles, Smith and Ragland all in one year, then went to the Final 4, in our "rebuilding year."

Clearly HC3G has successfully mastered the art of succession planning as demonstrated during his stewardship of Winthrop and Wichita State basketball teams. I am confident WSU provides a platform on which he can build Team Rosters that will ensure the level of success the Shockers have enjoyed over the past two seasons. I am convinced in the near future basketball aficionados will experience a seismic shift in their thinking as to what University in the State of Kansas has the best coach and basketball team/program (residents of Lawrence and Johnson County will struggle to survive this earthquake).

And then, the only thing any of us will have to be concerned about is, Repeating.

Remember that going into last year, we were concerned about having no experience/talent at the center position. We had Carter (too short and JUCO transfer), Lufile (too soft and unskilled) and Coleby (unproven but supposedly skilled) and now we're wondering how we're going to replace those guys. Carter is back and we know what happens with 2nd year JUCOs. It will likely be another center by committee, but I think we'll be fine. I'm most interested in seeing which of our freshmen emerge from the pack. We have some serious talent in that class.

I think it's important to remember that, even though Darius Carter probably won't be Cleanthony Early, he will probably still be one of the best power forwards in the conference. I would be surprised if he is not. We can't expect anyone to be as good as Cle at the moment, so I do wonder what things will be like. Without Cle we will still be good though, and there are tons of reasons to believe we can be just as good as last year as a team.

In my opinion, if ONE center is only as good as Chadrack was, and if ONE wing-ish player can hang with Marshall's expectations, we are a dominant team again. If neither of those things happen, we are still Valley contenders with a 20 to 25 win season. Either case is nothing to complain about. Marshall has just the bar set so high we don't know what to do with ourselves anymore.

We'll roll through the MVC again like a tank over a field of petunias. We might drop a game or two, but the talent and coaching gap is still as wide as it's ever been. The league right now consists of big, bad Wichita State and a supporting cast of NIT/CBI bubble teams.

We will be tested early and often in the OOC, however. Surviving that part of the slate with two losses or fewer would put us on a very nice course for seeding.

True, and I love all those guys....but let's not for 1 minute confuse Hall, Stutz and Durley with the 34th pick in the draft.
