  • Doesn't look like Cle is going to get a fair chance in NY. Too bad since he's from that area. I would love for him to get out of NY and hook up with a young team with no ego-maniacs like Melo. He seemed to me that he had a good pre-season. I hope he stays hungry and proves Jackson and Fisher wrong....

    • When you look at the box score there's usually lots of bench players scoring more and shooting a higher % than Melo, yet he continues to take the most shots. Its like they don't care what gives them the best shot to win, just that Melo is the star and people must be coming to see him. I had high hopes for Cle in NY but I think Phil's best days are behind him. Cle had a 2 year contract didn't he, so after this year he'd be free to go elsewhere? Maybe showing something in the D-league would be the best way to catch someone else's attention and get out of NY.

      • In OKC, went to the Thunder Knicks game last night. Cle didn't suit up, KD was still out, but it was fun. The Thunder tried to make it interesting at the end but came up short. Despite the loss I'd say it was more fun than the 30 point blowout I watched last year.

        • Cle was recalled from the D League prior to the Knicks' last game on 11/29 and played 6 uneventful minutes in an OT loss to Houston. Next game is tomorrow night vs. the 76ers.

          • Cle gets 3 mop up minutes last night in a blow out win....Wish NYK would release him so he could hopefully catch on with a better fit....or maybe he just isn't good enough.

Unfortunately, I think the latter is true. I could be wrong, but that's my guess.

              • It still seems like he has the defense, rebounding, and assist ability to be a contributor even if not as much on offense. I think with the right team, who has scorers and doesn't need that from him, he could stick and play more minutes. I suppose he's being paid decent as a draft pick, and hopefully continuing to develop so if they do release him at the end of this year he catches on somewhere else and plays.

                • He's stuck playing with/behind the biggest ball hog in the NBA for one of the worst coaches. I don't think we will ever know if he is good enough if he doesn't at least get a cup of coffee somewhere else.

According to ESPN Cle played 33 minutes in a D League game Wednesday morning, went home, took a bath, drank a gallon of water and suited up for the Knicks that night. 5th player ever to play in the D-League and the NBA in the same day.

Don't know, but he was on the bench in street clothes.

                          • Cle needs out of the cespool that is NYK basketball. He needs an opportunity with a team and coach that play and coach TEAM basketball. That's never going to happen with Carmelo running that team.

Didn't need google, I had clicked the transaction tab on ESPN and they had him optioned to the D on the 30th but he had played in a game for the Knicks on the 2nd with no mention of a transaction back to the NYK....What did you find out on your google search smart guy.????..probably that you have no penis.
