Exactly. Some of the comments I see on here or elsewhere makes me wonder how many of them actually watch a Knicks game let alone any NBA games.

The guy is HISTORICALLY known for being a ball hog and not even running plays, and again, he CLEARLY didn't run the play that Fish called for last night to end the game.

The Knicks need to get rid of JR Smith or he needs to buy into the system that Fish and Phil want which is the triangle, and they haven't ran much of that all year. It's just a really bad team all around, chemistry and team roles being the biggest.

And the only way Cle gets more playing time is if they pack it in and play for draft picks and getting new guys development. Or they bench or trade JR and move Cle down into the 2, but he'll still be behind THJ there too.

Exactly. That last play out of the time out encapsulates the whole problem. JR is a selfish nut case. Only one player should have been taking that shot. And that one player was calling for the ball but JR thought the better play was a brick off the dribble. Pretty pathetic.

I hope Cle gets his shot. I hope he is keeping high spirits. It's tough not playing and even tougher not playing on a sucky team.

I have called for getting rid of JR.

All I was saying is, playing behind a guy like Melo (or Lebron, or Durant), it's going to be tough to steal minutes any from them. The only reason, I said they should trade Melo, was to selfishly make Cle the starter! ;)

        • I'm afraid it's going to be tough for Cle with the Knicks. Not only is he behind Melo at the 3, he's behind what seems like a dozen shooting guards. I mean how many SGs does one team need?!?! And don't even get me started on THJ!! That dude's presence has already thwarted one Shocker of getting a fair shake at playing time. It seems THJ will get EVERY opportunity, so long as his jersey says "Hardaway" on the back. Look forward to many more 1-for-8 nights and blown defensive assignments.

This will undoubtedly be another disheartening year for Knicks fan, of which I am one, as they hold out in anticipation of signing one or two big-time free agents next year. That being the case, it'd be nice to see Cle get more minutes...

          • @NY_KnicksPR: Cleanthony Early will have an arthroscopy this week to remove a loose body in his right knee that had been revealed from an MRI (cont).

@NY_KnicksPR: (Early cont) He will be re-evaluated in approximately one month to determine his return to the court.

I sure miss him, and hope he starts to get more minutes when he returns to the Knicks lineup.

Maybe we can help up his Twitter followers, while he is out!

Let's show him the power of Shocker Nation and that we still love him!!!

              • I have not taken the time to read this thread but I will say this. I was sure disappointed
when OKC passed on Cle, as well as, some others before them.

                            • Stuck in the throes of a franchise-worst start , the 4-19 New York Knicks aren't doling out smiles or hugs among one another. Go figure. Losing breeds infighting. The Knicks have done a lot of losing...

They really just need to blow this team up and start over.. preferably with Cle as the star.
