If I were a celeb, I'd go out in costume all the time. Make it a game to see if anyone could recognize you.

Say you disagree and be done with it. The self-centered, arrogant, entitlement language was garbage. ShockerExpress had none of that in his post.

As for the issue at hand, I think it is silly to say that athletes don't have some level of responsibility, but where to draw the line is a big grey area. Only at official, university sanctioned signing sessions? Maybe. All the time? Probably not. Somewhere in between. Possibly. Given all the complexity of a specific situation (is the athlete trying to get somewhere or do something, is there a risk of starting a big autograph/photo line, etc.) I tend to give the individual a ton of benefit of the doubt unless I have good evidence that they are being a jerk about it. The report was that Baker was very kind as he declined. That's all I need to know to say I have no problem with his actions.
        Well that didn't disappoint.

Kai you should have used Roman Numerals for 2014 MMXIV. Makes it look more official.

              Forget about it . . .

This is such a non-issue. As previously stated there are a plethora of valid reasons for this isolated incident. Can't we just move on?

              That's all folks.

The players have limited free time, Ron is a stand-up guy as is the whole team...non issue, but I guess its something to talk about.

Was in New Orleans and went out for a work function at a VERY high end restaurant. One of my favorite actresses (on THAT list) happened to not only be in town, but was eating with a friend at the same place. I saw her, she saw me, then it happened....
I smiled, she acknowledged, and I walked past without stopping or pausing. The best part is just as we were getting ready to leave, i get a note. It is from her, saying thank you or not interrupting her dinner with her friend, as her Husband had just passed and this was her first night out of the house.

She signed it, and then added a PS (Thats private)

No one ever knows the circumstances a person is dealing with at any point. If you ever see one of these guys decline an autograph at Koch, i would be beyond shocked. We have great young men, and I am proud of the way they represent our University.

Based on the sunglasses in the baseball pictures I am thinking that Ron might now be batting for the other team, so to speak. Might have been better if a male approached him.

I think any 21-year-old guy is obligated to take miles of caution with any sitution involving one-on-one encounters with a 15-year-old girl. A staged session with lots of people clearly watching is one thing. A chance encounter is quite different, even if it['s in a public venue.

Actually; AD should have been capitalized, as AD is the abbreviation for the Latin words Anno Domini (translation: In the year of our Lord). The abbreviation AD should also have been placed before the year 2014. The sentence "Today is June 24th, the year of our Lord 2014ad." is redundant, and grammatically incorrect.

I expect far more from a person of kai's standing in the ShockerNet community.
