There is nobody we would rather have then “OUR” guy.

There is a human element of loyalty, familiarity, etc. involved here. Nothing wrong with saying “I wouldn’t trade Marshall for anyone”. Just an observation.

On a side note, the fact that Coach K is still yet to be listed continues to show me how dumb this polls is. The last 3 years have not been Duke’s best.

Well, certainly no one ranked above him, because given their affiliations and backgrounds, those guys would almost surely all be trying to escape "this level." That's what's great about Marshall -- he loves it here, wants to be here (to make it "his next job," as the saying goes), and doesn't think of it as "this level."

I can't really read other people's minds and thoughts. What I am saying is I would not trade Coach Marshall for any of these other coaches because I think he is the best man to head up the Wichita State program. I could not say this about any other Coach we have ever had at Wichita State with the possible exception of Ralph Miller even though all those other coaches were also "OUR" guys. Looking back at Ralph's contemporaries I guess I would have taken John Wooden and maybe Ed Jucker over Ralph. However that is with the benefit of hindsight. Most of Coach Wooden's championships came after Ralph left WSU. I really wasn't old enough at the time to make that call.

The question remains, Who would you take right now over Gregg Marshall to lead Wichita State's men's BB program? If your answer is no one because 3G is our guy I can accept that at face value.
