  • Just an aside, but MT seems to be having difficulty with the roster at Maryland (It's B/R, so read at your own risk)

Remember when Nancy Pelosi said about Obamacare:
"We have to pass it, to find out what's in it".

A physician called into a radio show and said:
"That's the definition of a stool sample."

Exactly!!! Financially it would not be smart for GM to make a statement totally eliminating the possibility of leaving WSU. Why eliminate WSU's major motivation to keep giving him nice raises.

Just curious, Lusking: how do you know any of this? I assume you weren't there for the meetings. And why Emporia, for heaven's sake -- was there a mutually convenient gas station, or what? I guess it does fit with the laughable cloak-and-dagger theme of Missouri's search (see Dana O'Neil on ESPN and her story for more), but still: Emporia?

Actually I heard that Alden and Marshall met in Emporia at Bruffs Diner for a piece of pie and a cup of coffee. They do have good pie.

The fried chicken at the Pizza Ranch is pretty darn good.

That 15 mentions to 140 posts ratio is epic!

                    • Kinda wish we could get Pizza Ranch in Wichita. There are a few times per year when a Gall Darn Man needs a pizza buffet.

Imagine what the ratio would be for Lusking or DJA if every time we referred to them it counted.

They could support themselves with the cactus bread alone. That stuff is ridiculous.

                          • Maybe Marshall wanted to make someone drive I-70 from Columbia to KC.

We have one in Hutch. Ate there once. I liked the chicken, not the pizza. Horrible layout. Imagine the old Kellogg and Rock intersection at rush hour with no traffic signals. A bit over-priced, IMO.

                              • Anybody hear coach on radio with Shane Dennis? I only caught the last couple minutes, but Shane was asking about some of the positions that may have been offered. Coach's basic reaction was that he entertained a couple conversations, but talks never amounted to much. Never even got to a position where offers were made. Take it for what it's worth.
