I was almost immediately. Bruce by himself is unlistenable, and I have little desire to listen to Jenn after that weird condescending rant that she posted to her blog the other day. Is she continuing to beat that horse on sports daily this morning?

Perhaps it's just semantics but my sense was that Coach Marshall spoke with Mike Alden but that they never got to he point of a face-to-face meeting. Then again I could be easily missing something or misinterpreting something. They could have met or run into each other in KC or somewhere. In any case, it sounds like 3G, being the smart guy he is, politely listened and then informed Alden that the timing simply wasn't right for him. Will that answer be different at some point in the future? Maybe. Who knows.

Over the last 15 years, Mizzou has been a stepping stone to (1) unemployment/D-League coaching, (2) Arkansas (lol), and (3) Tulsa (bigger lol).



I guess a person could argue every job in college hoops is a stepping stone except for maybe 4 or 5 schools. However, referring to us that way while acting like Mizzou is a cut above is retarded.

An investigative idea for Jenn: ask Villanova fans how worried they were that Mizzou might get Jay Wright to fill their vacancy. Compare that rate to Shocker fans. (note that it's probably about the same).

They met face to face twice. Or I should say Gregg met with Missouri representatives twice. I don't know if Mike was there for the Kansas City meeting. Pretty sure from what I have read that they both were present for the Emporia meeting. I still do not believe that Gregg was ever that serious about taking the job however.

Excellent theory, but you're too modest. Gregg's visit with NCSU was a huge part in FAHCCJ getting the BGSU job.
