There is some talk of this by some guy named Kilgore on Tigerboard and twitter. Some people on the secrant.com are discussing it too. Something to do with the announcement waiting until after the WSU Celebration party? Have you guys heard anything?

I heard that Marshall consider Mizzou a train wreck program and laughs at the thought he would consider Missouri because he want to compete for a national championship next few years and WSU gives him that best opportunity.

Just posted in the Auburn thread the link to Andy Katz's Three Point Shot. Per Katz, if Mizzou is going to offer a big name coach and a big time salary, $2.5-$3M, it will likely mean giving Pinkel a raise on his $3.1M salary, so they have money issues to deal with. Andy did not provide any speculation on the likelihood of Marshall doing anything. He did say that the WSU administration looks two years ahead on what Marshall's compensation is likely to be, so they are definitely proactive in that regard.

There is quite literally no one in the media - local, regional, national, whatever - who thinks 3G heading to MethU is a reasonable possibility. All talk of such stems from a lone, rabid internet forum that even gets clowned and smack-talked by their local media members as being a joke.
