Probably. The coaches are recruiting big name JC PFs. Where the schollie will come from is unknown, however, I get the distinct impression that should a stretch 4 commit, he wouldn't be turned away.

Thanks, I was unaware of that.

Well then I guess it's a good thing we have a 7 foot JUCO center coming in.

35-1 is amazing and we had Kentucky on the ropes. One area I want to mention is rebounding. Kentucky was one of few teams that really out-rebounded us and we lose Early, Chadrack, and Coleby who not only were solid rebounders but defended the post with blocks, etc. Now as we fast-forward to next Season, we know we have incoming bigs joining Shaq and Carter. We know 3G has solid rebounding teams every Season. We know we will rebound very well from positions 1,2,3 and maybe even better with added recruits there. Here is what I wonder when gazing into our team next Season. Will we improve in the area of rebounding, be about the same, or not quite as good for a Season? Discuss?

I think we will be slightly better. I expect Carter to use his athleticism, Morris to use his body, and B-Wam to use his length. Coleby and Lufile seemed to get their boards through size alone and weren't particularly good at boxing out or "getting" boards. Kelly is a fiend on the glass and a ball getter. He will likely be our best rebounder from day 1!

one thing that hasn't been discussed much is that we could potentially stretch the D more at the 3 spot next year. Baker could slide over and play some 3 with VanVleet/Henerson at the 1 and/or Henderson/Holland at the 2. Cotton is a decent 3 point shooter and should continue to improve, but he's kinda short for the position and there was a big drop off in production when he was on the bench (Wiggins/Wessel). We have 6'7" guys coming in that play the 3 and supposedly can stroke it. Baker can slide over as these guys get up to speed.

Sure to spell Tekele but no way do Henderson/Holland take significant minutes from Tekele as a senior, which in effect what would happen in this scenario.

I don't think they will, I think Baker will be his backup this year with Brown learning the ropes. Henderson/Holland playing the 2 will allow this to happen.

What exactly are you predicting? Who is your starting backcourt (PG/SG/SF) and who is the reserves?

                    I see:

                    FVV/Baker/Cotton starting.

Holland or Henderson/Brown off the bench. Not certain what Wessel's role will be.

Baker is gonna continue to get some minutes at the point.

Does anyone think the reason Zach Brown was playing PG at Sunrise was because HCGM wanted him to gain more experience at that position?

I dont really expect him to play the PG position, but having a player of his height on the wing who can handle the ball like a PG is never a bad thing.

fvv is the best pg in the country next year, let alone wichita state. but zach will see a little bit of time there, just like baker and cotton have. marshall wants pg skills in all of his guards.. he will squeeze a square peg through a round hole if he has to.

Obviously FVV, Baker and Cotton start in the backcourt. What I was trying to say is that with point guard depth coming in (Henderson) and shooting guard depth coming in (Brown, Holland), we have the luxury of having Baker share the 3 to spell Cotton. I see Brown being a 2-3 in training and Henderson being a 1-2 in training. This year we had to have Baker at the backup point. Next year it's a luxury but probaby not a necessity. Last year we had a dropoff in offense at the 3 with Wiggins/Wessel. The point in all this is that we're trying to figure out how we are going to replace Early's 3 point shooting and I think we may replace it with better 3 point shooting at the 1-3 spots with more traditional bangers at the 4-5.
