Marshall's agent said #Mizzou has not reached out to the WSU coach. Also said it would take a perfect situation for him to leave Shockers.

It would be incredibly foolish for Marshall to come out and say he's never leaving WSU. It's also incredibly foolish to say you're not interested in listening to offers. Listening to an offer (even through an agent) keeps you apprised of what the job landscape looks like, and also helps keep your current employer on their toes. No sense in having either party get too lackadasical

Good point...but still.....if you go around telling the national media that Wichita St. is not a mid-major...but rather a MAJOR program living in the Missouri Valley and that I got everything I need here at Wichita. Planes. Fans. Support. Money. Then talking about a "better place" or "always open" doesn't sound to believable to me that Marshalls long-term plan is to remain at Wichita St.

Ummmmm sorry to say and I'm not trying to cause a stir....but this is Marshall's (albeit his agents words) FIRST blunder in his 7 years here at Wichita St. If I were him...I would be firing my agent like yesterday. Why....cuz if I were Marshall...I'd want to keep recruiting.

What Marshall's agent said is what agents say. It's their job. As for the "perfect situation," all we need to know about where we are right now is two words: "not Missouri." And nothing his agent said is going to limit him in recruiting.

Chris Fickett and Vahe Gregorian from the KC Star both reporting that Mizzou has NOT contacted Marshall or his agent, as of about 25 minutes ago. I would take this to mean, Triple G is not the Tigers first choice. Interesting.

Or it could mean that Mizzou has not contacted anyone (yet). Per Gabe De Armond of Power Mizzou.com, because of the Easter weekend, the actual search and process of contacting candidates would not begin until today.

Of course, it could also mean they had already reached out in a way that would not require acknowledgment of a formal contact.

People can wear themselves out trying to guess and second guess what is going on. I believe the coach and his agent that it will take a perfect opportunity for HCGM to leave Wichita. Mizzou is FAR from perfect.

Florida, Michigan State, Kentucky, Indiana???? Those are schools that would truly get the coach's attention. And they are light years closer to perfect than Mizzou...
