And just for comparison, Gary Pinkel made 2.6m per year before getting a raise next year of 3.1m.

“Me personally, I’m not a jumper. There’s a lot of goodwill that Wichita State has built up, and the community of Wichita, with me personally. So it’s going to take one heck of an offer. I’m sure Shaka and Coach Few and those guys feel the same way.”
Pretty sure it's chopped up but still, as a guy that listens to these guys for football an awful lot during the season, it's kind of fun to hear these guys with Gregg.

I've been listening to KC sportstalk radio for the last couple of hours. All of the hosts seem to think that HCGM is a pipe dream that MU can't afford even if it was an attractive destination. They figure it would take a 3M offer just to get a look. One name several have thrown out is Greg McDermott. I haven't a clue what he gets from CU but this might be a good time for a change with the turnover the BJs are facing. His stint in the BigXII might have taught him to stay put though. One quick note before we present the rankings: With Wichita State’s move to the American Athletic Conference, the Shockers have moved out of the mid-major club. Plus, CU shouldn't have ANY trouble whatsoever finding a new coach anyway. They are in the MID MAJOR EAST now. There will be tons of high end coaches interested in taking them through this rebuild.
I say go with Jacobsen. :)
Wait, I just figured out what is about to happen. McDillmott is going to take the MU job and Jacobsen is going to Tennessee after they figure out none of the usual suspects want to coach there. A guy who stuck it out for very little money when his stock was through the roof a few years ago, who has struggled but performed reasonably in his horrible recruiting situation, might be a good plan G for Tennessee. The substantial raise might be able to get him to look past whatever is going on with the Gonzo situation.Last edited by Dave Stalwart; April 17, 2014, 06:49 PM.

Gotta love phog.net internet rumors.
Per the bricklayer.....No but seriously from a good source Marshall getting 5 million a year for 7 years. Then Tennessee will buy out his remaining contract from WSU for 35 million dollars. Take it for what it is worth....You heard it here first....The mountains are calling, and I must go.
