If Manning goes to Wake and is a big success, and Carolina were to approach him after Roy Williams moves on and offer him the job as Roy's successor for $1 a year, he'd take it in a heartbeat. Probably less than a full heartbeat.

Wake can now say they pay more than NC State or UNC, but Manning would take the position even if Tulsa matched what WF is paying. It's easily a better job than Tulsa, and salary is only a small part of why it's better.

If you could define what an intelligent post is, then let us know what % would constitute rare, maybe we could get a better picture and understanding of your frustration? That would be great, don't you think?

Yes, he didn't take the job because of money. His assistant coaches didn't make any money, they couldn't fill up their arena, they didn't have a jet to use which compounded the time spent on the road among other things was why he left.

It would seem that you posting here would be like LeBronplaying a pick up game at the YMCA. Why stay and debate/argue with people with an obvious bias towards YOUR alma mater? What do you get out of being on the negative with no cards from the affirmative.

I will fully admit that I was using extreme exageration (if we were to set an actual percentage, it would obviously not classify as "rare") in order to make a point. Intelligent responses are not rare... just less common than they should be. My intent was to compliment Rlh04d for making a smart post after I had recently finished reading a handful of dumb ones (mostly in other threads).

I do find it funny that the same guy who can't differentiate between a fact and an opinion is making comments about intelligent responses. Doc, remember that time you said it was a "fact" that UNC was unlikely to make the tournament this year? You could have stated it as your opinion, but you went out of your way to say it was a FACT. Not only was that not a fact and actually an opinion, but it was also a garbage opinion at that seeing as how UNC ended up making the tournament as a 6 seed.

Point me to a better place to go and I'm on it. Considering I like Shocker basketball, have built "relationships" with posters here, some of which I actually enjoy (yes, Fever humors me), and will be visiting Shockernet regardless because it is the best place to go for breaking WSU news, I doubt I'm going to find a better place to go.
