    • @EditorEdge: Mizzou fans loudly disliked Haith, who was 77-29 & AP COY. So he bolts after 3 yrs. "Delusional" Mizz fans get the blame like UT's, or nah?

I think the difference between the UT vs. Mizzou fans is that UT ended with a sweet sixteen, Misery has been in the NIT too many times for their fans liking. I don't blame them.

        • @Frank_Cusumano: Frank Haith called a team meeting at 245 with his players.
          Looks like its happening.

          • There are also significant, non-performance issues going on with the Missouri athletic programs, including the basketball program.

Cuonzo ran a fairly clean ship.

            • So we now get to test Lutz' theory about Marshall to Missouri?

              • Would Mizzou pony up 3-4 million? I doubt it.

Haith made 1.6 million last year, and wants to get away from a job where he won 70% of his games over 3 years.

That doesn't sound like a destination job that HCGM wants to be a part of.

                • Not a bad move by Tulsa at this point IMHO. He will keep them competitive.

Haith - a guy who was hired after Miami was getting worse and worse every year (not to mention the NCAA violations) and Mizzou was getting worse and worse every year while he was there.
Martin - a guy who was hired after completely turning SWOMO's program around and Tennessee was getting better and better every year.

The guy who tweeted that is the delusional one.

They're probably still ticked about that Norfolk State game :D

Not to mention Haith's connections to that mess in Miami on top of that, whether or not that has any bearing on this situation.

Frank Haith was at Missouri three years and went to the NCAA Tournament the first two. In his first year he won 30 games and was the National COY. Prior to that they hadn't been to the NIT since 2005 when Quin Snyder was there. But yes, Frank Haith had many haters in this state. The last two teams were considered to be underachievers and even his first year they lost to Norfolk State in the first round.

I have a really good source at Mizzou and he said that they had a meeting but that the players were not told he was definitively leaving. Still probably happening. But players met with him and nothing was confirmed.

                            • Is it too late for Bruce Pearl and Buzz Williams to rethink Auburn and Va Tech? They may have jumped too soon.
One quick note before we present the rankings: With Wichita State’s move to the American Athletic Conference, the Shockers have moved out of the mid-major club. We wish the Shockers well against Cincinnati, UConn, SMU, and more.
