What time is the Pep rally tomorrow? Was planning on heading over to that but just wanted to double check 10 am again or 11:30? I've heard both...

Two hours prior to game time...11:30 am at Westin. Make sure and get there about 40 minutes early to get a decent place to stand.

My first vist to Arch Madness. Left KC at 6 am after spending an evening on the plaza with my offspring who attends that medical school in KC. But on my way to KC, I did my duty and helped spread Shocker Nation one Tavern at a time. Stopped at Guy and Mae's in Williamsburg for an appetizer and some liquids. They had zero WSU gear on the wall, so I took one of those Koch magnets, and it now has a featured place on G & M's juke box. The proprieters were thrilled! At the Westin by 9:45 and met Pogo and gave him my best and a little something from my wife to his. 4 games a variety of food and beverages, some great conversations with fans from around the Valley. I could write a page about just today, but exhausted and I am sure you really couldn't give a rip. Great crowd, let's keep it up.

Don't know where to put this but this thread is as good as any, Northen Iowa fans at the Jive and Wail (on Washington st in St.Louis) are saying they can't wait to watch us lose to a 16 seed in the NCAA tourney. Sat there dumbfounded as they kept rambling on.

At our hotel there was a round table discussion between 3 red-turd fans and a swamo fan talking about how WSU only deserved at the most a 2 seed, but really a 3 seed and how really u can't go by last year as it was a fluke.

They need to look in the mirror and remember that their sorry programs would be the cause of us dropping to a 2 or 3 seed. Jealousy, pure and simple.

Stuff like that is really short sighted. I understand why they say it, though. You get so used to a team because you play them all the time and you know exactly how beatable they are. They still think they can beat us because in years past they have usually been competitive. It's easy to say someone is over rated because you are living on a really broad definition of where that team is at. In their case, it wasn't that long ago that they were dominant in the Valley so they aren't really accepting that we are any better this year. Its just fun to throw your rivals under the bus because it makes you feel better about your team.

I get it. The really dumb thing about any Valley school rooting against us in the tournament to make themselves feel better is the money. I wonder exactly how much money their program immediately loses out on should we lose in the first round as opposed to going deep.

And how much money did their program earn this season because of our ranking in a year when they were mediocre at best?

Sorry you guys didn't crack the NIT...

                            • Mrs. ShockBand and I took in the Verdi Requiem with the STL Symphony at Powell Hall last night. Absolutely fantastic. If classical music is in your tastes, they have their second performance tonight, and I would heartily recommend taking it in. Tickets start at $30.

Haven't really heard any negative comments about WSU. Talked with a couple of Redbird fans here @ The PearTree and they were very complimentary.

I'm sure there are lots of Shocker fans all over STL, but the largest concentration has to be here @ PearTree. If not quite awake at breakfast, you would swear you were staying in a hotel in Wichita.

Not meaning to play Mr. Jinx, but just don't see how MoState stays within 25 of WSU today. They have nothing inside and the dribble drive options are greatly reduced with Pickens lack of mobility. Gulley can play and Ruder can shoot, but that's about it.
The fact they let ISU (who was atrocious) crawl back into their game yesterday sums it up.

                                That is all.
Above all, make the right call.
