My first vist to Arch Madness. Left KC at 6 am after spending an evening on the plaza with my offspring who attends that medical school in KC. But on my way to KC, I did my duty and helped spread Shocker Nation one Tavern at a time. Stopped at Guy and Mae's in Williamsburg for an appetizer and some liquids. They had zero WSU gear on the wall, so I took one of those Koch magnets, and it now has a featured place on G & M's juke box. The proprieters were thrilled! At the Westin by 9:45 and met Pogo and gave him my best and a little something from my wife to his. 4 games a variety of food and beverages, some great conversations with fans from around the Valley. I could write a page about just today, but exhausted and I am sure you really couldn't give a rip. Great crowd, let's keep it up.Robin Roberts: "My mother used to say, when you strut, you stumble."

I get it. The really dumb thing about any Valley school rooting against us in the tournament to make themselves feel better is the money. I wonder exactly how much money their program immediately loses out on should we lose in the first round as opposed to going deep.
And how much money did their program earn this season because of our ranking in a year when they were mediocre at best?
Sorry you guys didn't crack the NIT...

Mrs. ShockBand and I took in the Verdi Requiem with the STL Symphony at Powell Hall last night. Absolutely fantastic. If classical music is in your tastes, they have their second performance tonight, and I would heartily recommend taking it in. I'm sure there are lots of Shocker fans all over STL, but the largest concentration has to be here @ PearTree. If not quite awake at breakfast, you would swear you were staying in a hotel in Wichita.
Not meaning to play Mr. Jinx, but just don't see how MoState stays within 25 of WSU today. They have nothing inside and the dribble drive options are greatly reduced with Pickens lack of mobility. Gulley can play and Ruder can shoot, but that's about it.
The fact they let ISU (who was atrocious) crawl back into their game yesterday sums it up.
That is all.Above all, make the right call.
