Surely a good Mountain West team wants some of us. UNLV? New Mexico? San Diego State? Boise? That's a realistic desire of mine.

Everything that I've read has said "out for the season" however there are never any guarantees when it comes to injury returns. Even if he's back there would be the question of how high of a level would he be playing at during an early season tourney

This topic prompted me to look at the Basketball Travelers website to see who is ducking us next year. I came across this:

Kansas State is looking for high major or quality mid-major game in Kansas City on December 20th, 2014. Will return the game in 2015-2016.
I say we drop out of the Diamond Head Classic and take K-State up on their offer instead.

No way to give up four games for one

Remember when Nancy Pelosi said about Obamacare:
"We have to pass it, to find out what's in it".

A physician called into a radio show and said:

New rule: If DePaul is in a tournament, we drop it. All aboard?

I'm sure there's some Thanksgiving MTE we could join. Just make sure they only have 1 opening left so DePaul can't follow us.

One thing this year should have taught us:

For any of the teams we beat in this tourney, we get no credit. They don't have the right names on the shirts. We'll get less repsect for beating any of these than for beating SLU this year. For WSU to get credit in the media for a "good" win two things hve to happen. 1) It has to be a name team, and 2) That team has to have a good year.

Replacing Early, Lufile, Coleby, and Wiggins may be tougher than replacing Hall and Armstead. We return - let's call it 3-1/2 - starters, but we've got big question marks for the other 1-1/2 starters. We've got a raw JuCo, a RS Fr, and some true Frwe're going to be relyiong on as starters. We go from 6'6" Wiggins to 6'1" Holland as a backup in the backcourt.

I don't believe in counting on Fr, especially true Fr, until they have shown that they can handle D1 ball. It might be best to start with a tourney that doesn't include Duke, Syracuse, and Kentucky.
The future's so bright - I gotta wear shades.
We like to cut down nets and get sized for championship rings.

That's a good question. If he has Adrian Peterson like genes, then yes. If he's like Derrick Rose, then no. I guess we don't know the extent of the ACL injury, so that's the big variable. Here's how I look at it. I hope he's not ready by November, so we can play a short handed Colorado, get the W and when he comes back in December or January, he will ignite Colorado to their usual solid self and it represent a marque win on our resume. Sue me, I'm selfish.

well with Purdue, Uconn etc on the schedule you may be right. We replace a lot and will have a lot of question marks.

Coleby and Lufile (together) are averaging 8.2 points and 7.6 boards. I'd hate to count on that from Wamukota. That leaves Carter, Morris, and some true Fr to replace the rest of Coleby's and Lufile's production and replace Early's production.

WOW. Listen to this pity party. You'd think that we were 15-15, an RPI of 98, and had Scott Drew as our head coach. We don't have a chance.

is he even a candidate after being replaced by Marshall?

We are bringing Zach Brown, Rashard Kelly, Corey Henderson Jr, and Eric Hamilton in,in addition to Morris, Wamukota, and Holland.

And don't forget that we lost 70 plus percent of our scoring after 2012, and somehow got to FF. Look for Carter to pick up some of the slack at the 5, Wessel and Brown to more than make up for Wiggins, and Kelly to make an impact and help fill in some scoring and rebounding also.

We could easily be 10-11 deep next year without even taking Hamilton, Green or another signee like Atwood into account.
