Gottlieb says our team is not as good as last year. VanVleet not good against athletic players. Our rebounding suspect becuase we haven't faced big athletic teams. We have no depth.

Perhaps DG should discuss this year's version of the Shocks vs last year's version with Drake Coach Ray Giacoletti. Coach G was an assistant for Gonzaqa last year. Coach G is of the considered opinion that this year's team is better. I leave it to you to decide whose opinion is more educated.

We've heard the "WSU will struggle with athletic teams" argument for years. Nothing new and maybe someday the "experts" will wake up.

Perhaps that misperception is why all of the teams we played in the NCAA Tournament last year said they were taken off-guard by our athleticism. Oh well, I certainly hope that misperception continues, but I doubt that it will by anyone of any significance (like opposing coaching staffs or instance).
