Not taking it personal at all. I had a bad feeling about the UNI game. THRILLED it was just me and goes to show what I know. I don't have a bad feeling at all about tomorrow, it's just a VERY important game. Our guys have proven time and time again that they are going to show up and battle every game so there's no reason for undo concern.

Actually, Doc, I was concerned, too, although a bit less than I had been before the game in glorious Terre Haute. I wasn't at all convinced at this time last week the Shocks would wake up on Sunday 25-0, and I'm delighted that there turned out to be no cause for my concern.

WSU opens as 17 point favorites.

I've seen that we opened as 19.5 favorites and it's down to 17. Money is falling hard early on SIU. Not that surprising though. That's a lot of points.

Well, since I wasn't able to get tickets to the final two home games of the season, this will be my last game live until St. Louis. I want to enjoy every minute of these seniors at Koch. I want Cle to have a 40-point game. I want CJ to smash some people's faces in. And, the most unlikely of wishes to be fulfilled, I want Wessel to sink a three. Maybe two threes.

Nothing wrong with that is there? I am apprehensive before every game, not that my apprehension has any impact on the outcome of any games. One good thing about this Shocker team is I don't think they have taken anyone lightly this year.

Agree here...even the truest of fans have the right to be apprehensive. During the Dark Ages, there HAD to be some who knew we would lose, but support nonetheless.

I think we will win by at least 15pts. I think its important to get off on a good start and carry the mo. from the road trip over to this game. Shocks 84-65.

Here are the season points per game stats for the SIU starters as follows:

Olaniyan - 2.9
O'Brien - 7.4
Desmar Jackson - 19.7
Beane - 13.0
Smithpeters - 3.6

I do not know much about Beane, but Desmar is a fine player.

IIRC O'Brien had a pretty decent game against us in Carbondale. He and Jackson both scored 19 and Jalen Pendleton added 16 off the bench. Beane has all of a sudden found his game and is averaging 23.7 PPG over the last 4 games and shooting the ball at a very high %.

I'd say we are facing at least a 4-man band.
