I hope you succeed in starting a new prediction streak, after you failed miserably yesterday.

A good amount of Saluki fans are optimistic about this one. They have a nice streak going, including a puzzling home win over Indiana State. They're playing well. Unfortunately for them, that means they won't be sneaking up on WSU.

WSU has won by double-digits in every game this season except for 6 of them. 5 of them were on the road and 1 of them was at IBA. The Shocks have not won by less than double-digits at Koch this year.

I don't see how that changes on Tuesday.

SIU is on a four-game winning streak and they have done it handily. Beat In St by 19, Drake by 16 and Mo St by 18 and beat Loyola in OT by a few. Granted only Drake was a road game, but Barry has SIU clicking on all cylinders right now. It's been over a month since we have played them. This is not a team to sleep on.

A trap game set up if their ever was one. As Shocker Nation breathes a collective sigh of relief after successfully navigating the long anticipated Indiana State - UNI road swing we come back home to snowy Wichita to face a down-trodden, yet suddenly surging SIU team. It is natural to have a let down in these circumstances. That will be 3G's challenge for Tuesday. Keeping the focus and intensity at a high level. Fortunately, he is working with perhaps the best group of young men he has ever had in keeping their focus and their attention on the next step while at the same time keeping their eye on the prize.

Friendly reminder: Cleanthony Early went off for 39 points in the home game against SIU last year. Can he do something like that again this year? He's running out of time.

EO almost had a triple double with 10 pts, 10 bounds and 9 blocks.

Is this the game for Kadeem Coleby?

Now I've got myself started thinking about the way seniors will lock in when they see the end of their careers on the horizon. Our team is senior laden in all the positions that need the most improvement. Id love to see Kadeem, Nick, Chadrack and even Cle to a lesser extent all lock in a hulk out for the next two months. Let's have that start tomorrow night...

Play solid TEAM defense, take care of the ball, and rebound. WSU 74 - 63.
Oh yea, that other unmentionable, too. I cringe every time I see a set back.

Funny how everyone we've played to date has had good feelings about their team beating us. I just don't see it on this one, although SIU is on a roll and crazy things can happen.

The thing SIU has going for them is current chemistry with their new confidence from winning some and the fact that Desmar Jackson can be incredible. He almost beat us by himself last year if not for Cle upstaging him with the best game of his career that still stands today.

SIU is winning without any actual post players. When they play Valley teams whose post players either hang on the perimeter or who are not athletic, their lack of post players is disguised. There are going to be a lot of opportunities for the Shox post players to get on the block, seal their guy off, and catch a pass over a 6'4" defender.

You all are going to think I'm crazy, but this is a must win game. Gotta have it. Play very angry.

AFAIC every game is a must win game if we have any hopes and desires to capture a #1 seed in the Dance. SIU is just the next must win on the schedule.

The crowd is changing. I don't think failure is really an option for the remaining home games.

The crowd was very angry in that Evansville game. Different than I remember experiencing. It seemed there was a difference in tone from past games. No longer "oh here we go again" and more of a "aw, hell no." The crowd (and the team) were really tremendous the last 12 minutes of the first half in that game.

SIU is playing better but we have way too much firepower, Shockers win 76-58.
