No, they evidently haven't left yet. Just listened to the coach's show, and HCGM said they just got out of practice. Since he was at 21st and Webb Road, I take it they aren't leaving today. Anyway, the great meteorologist Mike Smith says 6" - 11" of snow in store for Wichita.

Snow doesn't make a lot of difference in taking off. Now ice can be a beyatch and landing on snow or ice can get dicey unless you take an arrested landing but I seriously doubt if the charter is equipped with a hook.

Yes, New Mexico State was in the Valley as was West Texas State (now called West Texas A&M.) Joined in the westward migration after Louisville, Cincinnati, Memphis State left the conference. Those were some tough road games. The watchword was "it's tough to win in Las Cruces." I think West Texas State had an outstanding player named Maurice Cheeks, later of NBA fame.

Likely to be a nail bitter down to the last 10 minutes and then the Shockers will open up a 15 point lead and cruise on in.

We are bound to lose one somewhere along the way. This game makes sense that it would be the one.

We are tied for the 226th best 3 pt shooting team. Tied for the 169th best team in FG percentage, but we are top 100 in steals, blocks and rebounds. So, we can't hit the broad side of a barn but our defense gives us more chances to shoot bricks or make baskets. Extra possessions are winning us games.

It is long past time to refer to yourself as a "realist". You are simply a "gloom and doom" guy.

I'm going to say that our inability to shoot well is going to cost us in this game. We'll end up getting out to a slow start again and ISUB won't be as accommodating with our comeback attempt.

While AZ drops one slot in the poll, we'll end up dropping out of the top 10.
It is long past time to quit referring to yourself as a "realist" and recognize that you are simply a "gloom and doom" guy. I doubt that anybody gives credence to any of your predictions

I guess you have to admire his consistency.

I wonder if the blizzard of the century of the week is going to stop travel. It would be brutal to fly out Wednesday.

One thing you can say about KC -- he doesn't look at things with yellow-tinted glasses. And he has the cojones to say so. Of course, on a message board with its anonymity it's pretty easy to say what you think even knowing you are going to get yelled at. And to his credit he hasn't been negative all year.

I figure WSU will be a 2-3 point fav at ISU. I been thinking for the last two weeks this would be the game that ends the streak and that I might as well profit from it and put some gelt on the Sicksomemores to win str8 up, but now Im starting to think WSU has been getting bored waiting for this week and thus a few subpar games at home. I think they will b ready for ISU and break open a close game late....Of course a bad ISU team beat the '81 WSU team at ISU so you never know....

                      Tyrone Augburns (sp?) - 78

                      Larry Legends - 70

As long as Cotton is able to do to Odum want he did in the first match-up, I like our chances.

Need to take this game and Saturday's as if they were tournament games, in
other words play angry from the START until the games are clearly won. You don't
want to allow a team with a quality PG like Odum a lead and you don't want to
keep them within striking distance on the road cause bad things can and usually
do happen. I think we will get their best shot so we better bring at least our B+
game. I am not overly confident but will say 67-64 Shockers.

Shockers take control from the start and win 74-59.

Sadly, this is our toughest test of the conference season. And we'll pass it with flying colors. Shox by 16.
